Although Aranyaprathet has several reasonable hotels and bungalow-resorts, of which I have tried many, I mostly end up in lousy Thap Thong. Maybe I'm masochistic?The location is bad, alongside a busy highway, and the rooms are stinking-mouldy, especially when it rains. The age of the building is probably from the early sixtie's, and I'm surprised every year when I return that it still stands.The staff is a fiendly bunch of over-worked middle-age ladies, who have to attend to a restaurant also, which is so hot that it's probably dangerous for the heart...I mostly stay there because the rooms are cheap by today's Thai standard, from 250 B+. They call me Cheap Charlie...Not recommended.
