We have booked a room with ac but when we arrived it was broken, so we were assigned a room with fan, but they discount money for that. The room private, with a private bathroom. Location is great, you have a 7/11 next to it and also a laundry/dryer place. You have a small breakfast with coffee and toast.

If your travelling on a budget schedule this lodge is good for solo travellers, groups in 5 and also for family. Walking through at night is very safe...going to thapae gate is just 10mins from the lodge. This is only for sleeping purposes if you had an all day tours and activities on scheduled.

I have been traveling the world for 2.5 years and have stayed in many hostels, but the hostel I liked the most and felt at home was Satop Guesthouse. I will definitely stay here when I go to Chiang Mai again. Emmy, who runs the hostel, is a very friendly and nice person. She is always smiling and understanding. The rooms are cleaned every day and are very clean. Each room has a great bathroom and toilet. The sheets smell very nice and you can tell right away that they are clean. There is a laundromat right next to the hostel. There is a 7/11 market and countless restaurants at the beginning of the street. The location is right in the middle of the city and within walking distance to everywhere. I had no difficulties in terms of location. I think the price is also quite reasonable for a hostel of this quality and cleanliness. I also had the chance to have breakfast every morning. I saw the brochures in the area where I had breakfast. There were tours for Chiang Mai. I think it was very useful for planning my trip. In short, I had a great stay. I would like to thank Emmy for making this experience possible.🙏

This was actually a terrible hostel. The staff were friendly and the location was great and very close to the old town, but other than that my stay was pretty bad.I originally booked for 4 nights and I usually travel pretty cheaply so my expectations aren't particularly high, but I checked out a day later because I couldn't take it anymore. In the fourth bedroom the entire floor was full of rubbish and I had to ask the staff for a broom to clean it up. With this floor, I really didn't want to take my shoes off to walk around the room. And the only place to put his backpack was on the floor and in a mini locker. The beds had no privacy curtains and there were lots of insects, bugs and spiders in the room. The shower had what I suspect was mold on the ceiling, the sink was dripping all the time and draining onto the floor because the drain wasn't completely tight. The trash can in the toilet probably hadn't been emptied since the last visitors before me and since my bed was near the toilet I couldn't escape the smell unless I went out of the room, but in public shared spaces like that There was smoking everywhere in the lobby. I don't think there was a time when there wasn't smoke in the air all the time. When it rained a large puddle formed around the entrance to get wet feet that was hard to get around. My roommates individually also told me stupid stories about their check-in where a person was checked into the wrong room and then had to change rooms or that a reservation couldn't be found via Agoda, etc.I've never left a hotel early before. That was actually my first. I can't recommend it :(

I stayed here for 2 weeks for my Thai massage course un Chiang mai, I took a private room. It was really nice, with a good view, water and a mini fridge included, clean, hot water and good privacy.Best price for a private room and even with breakfast included, Emmy the owner was absolutely lovely and helpful, thanks to her I felt like having my little home for 2 weeks and that helped a lot.I 100% recommend this place for short or long stay, good location, peaceful and clean.
