The overall experience was very good, the rooms are spacious, the beds and pillows very comfortable, the cleaning is not deep but it is fine.The only drawback I have is the noise, you can hear absolutely everything that happens in the hallways, adjacent rooms and surrounding areas. The location for us who were going to surf was good.

It has a hallway structure that looks like something out of a movie... Although it is said to be 5 stars, it is not much different from the other 4 stars in the resort, and is only expensive.

We booked 4 nights but left after 1 night. The rooms are dirty, very humid and there is mold everywhere. After 1 night of sleep we woke up with a sore throat and even an inflamed eye. The windows were completely wet on the inside and therefore also the curtains. The puddles of water were in the room. Also the towels and bed were not clean. When we wanted to cancel, they indicated that we had to ask for a refund via Agoda. We did this and Klapa then informed Agoda that they had offered us a new room. This is not true. Only a maintenance guy would come and take a look, but he could never have solved all those problems. Ultimately we don't get any money back. Klapa Resort only wants to take the money and do nothing else for their guests. The staff who work there are extremely friendly and cannot be blamed for anything. So be aware of this and reconsider your booking here.Ps Agoda remover this review on their website.

Honestly, I felt compelled to write a review after seeing the mixed reviews here. For what we paid, I couldn't fault this hotel. Yes, there are parts it that need a little love. But ultimately, we got a huge clean room with a beautiful view, great bathroom, super comfortable bed, breakfast and dinner (which we didn't use every day but was lovely to have) an incredible location, 2 minutes walk from one of the best beaches in Uluwatu. The staff were excellent. The view from the rooftop pool is dynamite, nice little gym if that's your thing, super cheap and quick transport options to other hubs. For what seems to be the average price point, I couldn't ask for more!

Old and unmaintained. The room is large, but the smell of naphthalene is very, very strong.There is not a single parasol in the swimming pool. I think this is really serious.A great place for people who want to play golf outside all day.

Everything is okay as long as you stay here, you can even get free dinner for 2 days, but you can buy it yourself. Just a suggestion for breakfast, please improve the menu because for a resort class there is very little menu variety.And also to improve the cleanliness of the rooms.Oh yes, the ice cream near the reception is really delicious 😍

The hotel is a bit out of the way, but with direct beach access to Dreamland Beach. The rooms are in a quiet location, unfortunately as soon as you enter the door the bathroom stinks extremely. This smell was really disgusting. The curtains couldn't be closed completely and some of them were moldy. Unfortunately you can see from the entire hotel that it is getting old, never the standard of a 5 star hotel. (Corresponds to a maximum of 2 stars in Germany).Breakfast consists of two breads, jam, eggs, pancakes and salad. If anything was refilled at all, it was very careless. However, the staff was always very friendly.Good to know, the Klapa Beach Club (which really has a great view, but looked like a ruined building from the outside) is not part of itHotel and costs extra.We would not recommend this hotel.

5 stars?! Where?Left after one night (actually it would have been 4). The rooms stink (described very nicely). Comparable to a changing room in a swimming pool. Not even the humidity in the forest in Ubud can keep up. Everything feels damp, like after going to the swimming pool. Never experienced anything like this (not even in South America or Africa).Rooms are very dated, some defects.For dinner: buffet with empty rice, chicken noodles (1:1 like a ready-made pack from Knorr), fish curry and grilled meat. There wasn't any more choice.Who doesn't like it? Bad luck, because the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Literally. Drinks are also very overpriced. You can't buy water or anything like that anywhere else.If you want to go to the beach, you have to climb down a few stairs to reach it. Unfortunately, the pool on the roof of the hotel only has very few sun loungers.The reception staff were extremely friendly. I don't think the gentleman there was really surprised that we wanted to leave. They certainly weren't the first.I can only warmly recommend NOT traveling to this hotel.I never usually write reviews, but this hotel is really terrible.

I do not recommend booking directly through the hotel website. Use a travel booking platform like Agoda or Booking.com for better rates and less hassle.My first issue was with the Hotel Reservation Team, who contacted me saying I had to pay for the room since I was checking in after 6 PM. They do not have a secure payment portal and expect guests to send credit card details via email or WhatsApp—absolutely ridiculous. They insisted I pay before 6 PM or risk losing my room. I ended up booking through a travel platform and saved $100.The second issue was with the room itself. Upon check-in, several lights were out, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. It’s baffling that these basics aren’t checked by housekeeping during room turnover. The toilet issue persisted, requiring multiple visits from housekeeping to fix.While the price is low and the location is good for golfers, the overall experience is not worth it. The hotel really needs to improve their service.

As a family, we booked 3 rooms at Klapa Resort, and unfortunately, all of them were run down and clearly overdue for maintenance. Every bathroom had large amounts of black mold, and one of the bathrooms flooded after just two minutes in the shower. The water would pool up, flood the bathroom floor, and eventually drain behind the toilet. If the shower ran for more than two minutes, the water would reach the main bedroom. Additionally, the sliding door lock was bent and didn’t function properly, becoming a security and safety issue.We reported these issues to reception and were told they would be fixed while we were out for the day. However, when we returned, nothing had been resolved. We requested a room change due to the ongoing problems, but were informed there were no available rooms. After further discussion, we were told the flooding issue was due to the shower floor being higher than the bathroom floor, making it impossible to fix. Eventually, after expressing our dissatisfaction, we were given a different room. Unfortunately, we encountered similar issues in the new room: the fridge didn’t work, the air conditioning dripped continuously, and the sliding door still wouldn’t lock.The restaurant upstairs was disappointing as well. The buffet breakfast was of poor quality, and variety especially considering the price, and the service throughout the day was slow, even though there were very few guests. The restaurant and bar are deserted with minimal guests. Service at the bar was sluggish, pool towels were rarely available, and when we requested them, it took up to 30 minutes for staff to locate some.Downstairs, the juice bar also had issues. The staff had very little change for cash payments and couldn’t provide change for a 100k note when purchasing something as small as an ice cream or drink , ( this was on several occasions). The service was once again extremely slow, with a 20 minute wait for a drink, despite the absence of other customers.This was not our first stay at Klapa Resort, but it will certainly be our last. The resort is in need of major maintenance and updates, especially considering the nightly rates. While the foyer is well maintained and clean, the state of the rooms and restaurant leave much to be desired. The only thing this place has going for it is, the sunset and the easy access for surfing. Very very disappointing and will not be returning.

We stayed in this hotel for 9 nightsPros:-proximity to the beach 5 minutes down the stairs- updated renovation, judging by old reviews-beautiful view of the roof where breakfasts are held and there is a swimming pool-beautiful hotel grounds-Breakfast: eggs, steamed vegetables, 2 types of fruit (papaya and watermelon), sausages, meat like bacon, cucumbers, tomatoes, sauces, pasta with vegetables, pancakes with jams. We got tired of breakfast around day 5. But the breakfast is not bad. We were surprised that there were few fruits, always only 2 types, either papaya and watermelon, or melon and papaya. Tea, coffee.Cons:- The nearest store is a 15-minute bike ride from the hotel. If a taxi, then from 300 rubles- We didn’t like the service, everyone seemed to be smiling, but in fact it was of little use. We went to the beach and asked if it would be possible to buy water on the way, they said no. We bought water from them at the bar for 300 rubles. As a result, on the way to the beach there was a warung, where there are coconuts, water, and cola much cheaper. (that is, the staff is lying)- there are only 2 towels in the room, for a 4 star hotel!! It's a shame. The towels do not dry, that is, they were used once and need new ones.They asked for extra towels, they gave them very small ones for one hand literally 😀 and then they took them away and for the last 4 days of rest they didn’t bring them at all.-stupid rule from the hotel, do not dry clothes on the balcony, there is a fine for this. forced to subscribe to this rule.- they forgot to make us breakfast with us. The day before, I asked the reception to make us breakfast for the next day with us, since we were leaving for an excursion at 6 in the morning. They said okay, everything will be fine. As a result, there is another shift the next day at the reception and, of course, there is no breakfast. It was very unpleasant; we had to be hungry until lunch.- they also don’t provide beach towels, since “they don’t have their own beach,” they told us at the reception. We bought our own.-very inflated prices at the hotel restaurant (cocktail 900 rubles, food from 1200 rubles for a dish)took espresso 50 to rupees.- Dreamland beach with big enough waves, seize the moment without waves to swim (we went to Melasti beach, where the waves hit the reef in the distance, and everyone is already swimming near the shore. The beach is good for surfing.Conclusion: the hotel is definitely not 4 stars, we would not return again.

Hotel has a lot of potential, you will enjoy your stay for sure. I’m giving 3 stars because:- Beach Club was closed- One elevator was not working- Wi-fi is below average- Restaurant options are limited and expensive- Not a 5 star Hotel IMO- Sometimes the room smell a bit- Employees can improve their englishThings I loved:- Sunset views from the pool- Near the beach- Facilities such as Gym, Co-work & Pool/Ping Pong- Staff service

The hotel was good, room was spacious and clean and with bathtub!
The problem is, there is no restaurant nearby. You need to go to the town by car/bike if you want a meal, would take about 15 minutes.

Good price for the rooms but so much black mold in our room!! Developed the worst throat infection after staying for a few nights. Rooms are wet… walls are wet, bedding is wet, the clothes became wet. The aircon didn’t help at all. The hot water in the bath tub comes out BROWN!Either drop the price and warn people about the state of the rooms with CURRENT photos or renovate and fix it.Shame. It’s a fantastic location for a hotel.
