This place was best part of our trip to Bali. Ubud can be unbearably busy, especially in the high season, but you really aren't bothered by it when you are staying at a place like the Rice Joglo. Everything about it is perfect - beautiful design and decor, unique location, delicious breakfast every morning. We stayed at the Cabin Outpost location and loved it so much that we booked an extra night. It's a great place to stay if you want a little privacy (and your own private firefly display in the rice fields each night) that cuts the walk to the main road in half. The walk to the main property is between 10-15 minutes through the rice fields, and between 8-10 to the main road. There are restaurants that you can wander into for lunch or dinner (or breakfast, if you've slept in and missed the complimentary breakfast offered at the Rice Joglo, although I recommend you don't). Two of our favourites were Pukako and The Monkey Bar. Anyways, 5 stars for the Rice Joglo, I would give 6 stars if I could.

Is is possible to leave MORE than 5 stars?!?! Because no place deserves it quite like The Rice Joglo!!! My husband and I were absolutely star struck by the beauty of this location. Right in the heart of downtown Ubud, but tucked away in the midst of rice feels so you feel hours outside of the city. Their animals (and staff!) are all very sweet and kind, and the food offered both in their complimentary breakfast as well as their paid lunch and dinner menu is all fantastic! The rooms are exquisite, each one unique, with an attention to detail rarely seen before. We definitely look forward to coming back again in the future, hopefully next time with a few family members or friends!

Beautiful place, the best food I have eaten so far in Ubud, keep in mind that their products are from their garden and therefore it is super delicious, beautiful landscape, spectacular decoration, no traffic, and a great hike to do, highly recommended without hesitation, and if you are vegetarian even better.

We loved this accommodation! It's a beautiful quiet place only accessible by scooter or walking, so they pick you up from the main road with your luggage. There are restaurants and some shops on the way up, so there's enough to do without going back into Ubud. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, especially the cat, and breakfast is included. I had a massage for only $25 AUD in my room and we did a traditional painting class close by. The outdoor bathtub has a stunning view of the mountains. Be prepared for loud gecko mating calls at night and large spiders, it's a fun mix of nature and Balinese architecture.

The Rice Joglo is the best place to relax and renew yourself out of the big city. We lived there with my friends for 1 month and liked it so much! Stuff is very caring and polite. Special big thanks to Sonu, who made our staying unforgettable! Every villa is so different and unique, the atmosphere is like everything was made with love. I am sure you will have amazing time in Rice Joglo. No doubt!!

We stayed in Ubud for 3 nights and found out about this really beautiful warung through indojunkie. We walked the rice fields coconut tour. This warung really has everything your heart desires, from sata skewers to fruit and coconut.Very idyllic and quietI can't say anything about the room.
