I chose this place because it was discounted on the day I wanted to stay in Jakarta for 3 people. Honestly, I find the same experience as other 1-star reviews on here. The room was clean at a glance but when you look at some parts like the fridge or inside the cupboard, you'll see that they haven't bothered with that part. There are 3 towels for 3 people. However, everything else such as coffees, mugs and toothbrushes are only provided for 2 people. This was so weird considering we booked for 3 people and one person had to go without a drink because there was no mugs. The staff were also answering phones more than they are answering face-to-face customers. They seem reluctant to serve us on the spot. On the plus side, we were able to store our lugage at the reception after checking out , which helped when we wanted to grab food. For this, I give 2 stars. There are a lot of improvement to be made, especially for a 4-star establishment.

After you pay, they will put you in another room that is very bad and does not have cooking utensils. The staff was not friendly and insisted on demanding a deposit of 500 thousand. Actually it's not a problem, but considering the quality of the room:1. The bathroom faucet is easy to remove,2. shower very old and leaking. So the floor flooded.3. dirty bathtub,4. The bedroom door cannot be fully opened because it is blocked by the position of the bed,5. The sofa has a hole in it from someone who knows what,6. pockmarked wooden chairs27. No minibar8. The TV is dark. Cannot be reset.hmm, I kind of feel like I'm not worthy 🙏🏻 so why deposit 500 thousand?Especially for the receptionist to be more friendly in greeting guests 😃 because there is one male CS who is quite rude. So far the security is friendlier than the receptionist.Our family felt like we were being watched when we passed by... 🙏🏻 sorry, at this time I can't recommend this hotel to friends and relatives.Be enthusiastic and always successful.

If it had half a star, I would give it after the worst hotel you could stay in. The staff are provocative and uncooperative, their behavior is bad, the rooms are dirty, the ceiling is full of insects, the furniture is rusty and broken, and the mattress is dirty, and if you tell them to change it for you, they put dirtier, the central air conditioning is their right, it is very annoying, and using their facilities is like a washing machine for her. Once a day, do not wash less than 5 kilos or more than 7. I wish room service, if you requested it, was given an hour or more for them to come to you.

Maybe this hotel used to be a 4 star, maybe 20 years ago it was worthy of a 4 star. But now it doesn't seem like it's any more. Rooms are old and smelly. The table in the room had lots of cigarette marks. Reception when checking in had minimal information. If I'm not mistaken the reception is called YOGA. Why is that person's face so unfriendly? His face is already ugly, he's sulking again. I'm confused as to why Grand Tropic management maintains staff like that. Second, breakfast is a la carte without information. Fried noodles, fried rice have no taste at all. And served cold. This hotel is completely destroyed. The swimming pool for children is really dirty... The water is cloudy. I swear I regret staying here. The only thing that can be relied on about this hotel is the large swimming pool. That's all. The restaurant staff is the same... It's already bad, dirty... Is the SOP really like that... The staff is required to be dirty?? No wonder you have minimal guests staying... Please management, if you want it to be good, fix the hotel. Especially the service...

Hmmm... a magnificent hotel, unfortunately the corridors and rooms are not well maintained... Really need rejuvenation... floors, cupboards, doors, curtains, walls... feels like an old hotel when I was little... Even though the rooms are really spacious, you know ... the main advantage of this hotel is the swimming pool with Balinese vibes... and the white sand swimming pool... BTW when I dropped off at the lobby, coincidentally there were no security guards or concierges available... it was empty... After I parked there basement, must pass through emergency exit 3 to get to the lobby...
