Dang Oreum Garden in Songdang, Jeju ♤ It is a restaurant that only people in the neighborhood go to and the side dishes change every day. They say the mushrooms were brought to them by a local adult, and the ferns were picked by the person who picked them for the first time this year - I really like this place.

★★★ Jeju Songdang Shiny Hotel ★★★Stayed here for 3 nights.The owner has vast knowledge over running business to farming to herding animals to meat processing, motorcycle, gundams, a fine-wood carpentry (shop nearby!!!). He also owns donkey farm where you could possibly get some good donkey meat!He is bilingual in English & Korean; a very helpful man if you are needing suggestion for where to travel and how to compose your schedule in NE area of Jeju.If you are wanting to stay over at a very quiet, country environment, this place is it!Take bus 111 from Jeju International Airport.From here, you can take local buses to other sightseeing areas or simply drive!P.S. There is an amazing 해물짬뽕 (Seafood JjamBbong) place nearby!

Thank you so much to the Shiny Hotel for a wonderful stay. My husband and I stayed here for 3 of our days on Jeju Island.The hotel is located not too far from the Sunset Peak on the east coast of the island.If you are looking for a quiet, simple place to stay that is easy to get to by car, bus (#111), or motor cycle from the airport or west coast, then this is your place!The manager speaks English and Korean very well, so it makes the booking and hotel stay more comfortable.It is located in the country side, which means you'll get a great view of the sunrise and sunset sky from your room/hotel.For now, the owner has another property that has a volcanic crater on it that you might be able to visit with his ATVs! Just ask, and if he's available he can take you!If not, the location makes it convenient to get to the Woljeongri Beach, Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak (Sunset Peak), the Seopjikoji (Cape), and Manjanggul Cave, plus more!
