We have stayed in this Hanok for three nights. Expecting some relaxing days at the traditional Korean house. The house is renewed and has some nice rooms, but some have mold in it (like the tea room and bath room). The host is friendly and tries to help with any questions, but he is also very intense and intrusive. That is expressed in various situations which I wished to have known beforehand. Wake up time is at 8 o' clock each day. The host knocks on your door until you're awake and reply to his morning greeting ritual. As long as you're around he is constantly checking in with you, not providing any privacy.Furthermore, he turns of the heater for showers each day so there's no warm water between 10am and 6pm. Our private bathroom was on the other side of the yard only equipped with hand towels and in very bad shape. There was no window, no ventilation and only equipped with one light bulb. Most inconvenient was actually the check out. We wanted to leave at 10 and were asked to leave earlier several times. At 9:55 the host actually pushed us out and closed the door behind us immediately to start cleaning.

Very nice Hanok, I felt very comfortable here. The owner is courteous and takes great care of his guests. There is a small free breakfast and also a tea room that you are welcome to use.

It’s a very charming and well maintained hanok. Everything is spotless clean to the highest standards. There was no bugs or spiders inside which is a real achievement, given the aera! The host is very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend and return myself.

Overall this is a nice place to stay for 1 night. Location is just outside the main visitor area which is good for us because we don’t mind the walk as exercise to walk off the food we eat. Owners are great! …

We spent a night at the place in July. The host was incredibly nice, explained and recommended places to visit, where to eat, etc. and gave us breakfast, even though it wasn’t included in our booking. Then, the hanok was very charming and very well conditioned. In particular, I really appreciated its extraordinary sealing; In a city where spiders aren't uncommon, I never saw a single bug anywhere inside.

We had an one night lovely stay at this place. Owner is super nice and helpful. He is very energetic to show you around the place and give information on where to go and how to get there. This place is a very beautiful renovated traditional Korean house. It's also very convenient to get to all the highlights in the city on foot.Luckily we were almost alone while we were staying there. No noise from outside could be heard, only the birds in the morning.I can imagine it being more noisy if there is a full booking with several parties occupying all the rooms since the walls are very thin because it's an old Korean house.Highly recommend staying here.
