The accommodation is pretty and quirky, but what really makes a stay enjoyable is the hospitality. I will explain my experience so that it is recorded and measures can be taken to improve it. Once I had breakfast, with the intention of waiting for my travel companion to prepare his suitcase, I placed myself in one of their rooms: they have several rooms with books. I made use of an armchair and started reading. After a few minutes reading, without the presence of any other person in the space, the accommodation worker told me that I had to leave the space, telling me in Korean: “아침 식사 이후로 카페 공간을 오랜 시간 이용하려면 음료 주문 을 해 주셔야 해요. “If you want to use the cafeteria space for a long time after breakfast, you have to order a drink. We have a low price, so for please cooperate to maintain the store"). It is true that they offer a cafeteria service, but I was located in a space far from that service and that was part of the accommodation, since they do not have another common room. I believe that for adequate maintenance of the service, the customer must be well taken care of.

I was very bothered by the strong smell of cat pee in the common areas.The price is higher than other hostels I have experienced in Korea, the welcome and the organization of the dormitories were not pleasant the day I came.There is no kitchen, but a microwave is always available, no restaurant in the area, the door to the bathroom and toilets leads directly into the dormitories.Breakfast is good.I was supposed to stay 2 days, I shortened my stay

Hostel outside the center because it is close to the bus terminal (so perfect for connecting with other cities or the village of Hahoe) but you don't miss anything because the city of Andong is not very pretty and this hostel is an absolute haven of peace.Exterior building which does not look like much but past the door, you enter an unexpected café-bar/bookstore, which will serve as a common room. The service is impeccable, the playlists friendly, all surrounded by cats (beware of allergies but there are isolated common areas on each floor).Hearty breakfast, accompanied by fruit, something unusual in Korea.In short, a must for a visit to Andong!The only negative point is perhaps the crampedness of the room.
