If you're accustomed to tight rooms, hand held showers, are budget conscious and are only staying a couple of days - this is the place for you. It's not luxurious, it's modestly comfortable. You're right next door to Myeongdong markets and affordable street food, with Namdaemun just a short walk away. Myeongdong station is right there, as are several bus routes. With all of this in mind, it's a reasonable price to pay for fumbling around with a handheld shower.

Take Airport Bus 6001/6015 to Myeongdong Station Exit 5 and walk for about 5 minutes. Free toast and milk are provided every morning! The room is on the 4th and 5th floors, there is 1 room on the 6th floor, and there is a smoking space on the top floor.There are only stairs and no elevator. The boss can help with luggage. The room has no windows to the outside, and the toilet does not separate wet and dry areas. There are towels, toiletries, and hairdryers. If you don’t have toothpaste, please bring your own toothbrush. There is a small one on the fourth floor. There are public dining areas and kitchen counters with water dispensers/instant coffee/tea bags/cups, etc. The boss will also help with luggage. The location is good and you can leave your things at any time when you return to the hotel after shopping. There is a place to change banknotes near the hotel.

Please avoid this hostel/guest room at all costs! Booked for 5 nights.Shower has NO hot water. Even after we asked the manager, he said he checked the boiler but came back, still no hot water after running the water for 10mins. Had to bathe in the cold during winter. Room has no heater. Requested for a heater, a portable heater was given but it stopped working after 15mins. No towel was given, only 4 floor mats? Asked for towels but no towels were given.Be warned, no elevator, had to climb 3 stairs to check in and another 2 to our rooms with huge luggages.The room was ridiculously small and basic. No place to hang your clothes at all.We left the hotel on the same day desperately.Walls are non-soundproof, could hear people talking next door and even outside main door.Book at your own risks. I’d never come back again.

Heck, even the pantry looks brand new. Overlooks N Seoul Tower.Guest house even has a rooftop.Drinking water is also provided everyone, as well as coffee and tea. Overall it was a very good stay for 3 nights in K-guesthouse Myeongdong 1. I had stayed in some other guesthouses in Korea and this is my best pick, another K-guesthouse in Nampodong, Busan is also very good.Location: 400m to exit 5 of Myeongdong station, 500m to airport bus stop, walking distance to Namdaemun market, Myeongdong shopping street and Namsan tower. Many cafes and eateries around.Room: I booked an economy double room. The room is bigger than other rooms I'd stayed at other guesthouse brands at same price range in Seoul. The bathroom is also bigger.Service: the managers are very nice and helpful, they replied my email quickly and answered anything before my stay. There is a phone at receptionist desk to call them free anytime you need. No water bottles in room but free drinking water dispenser in common area. Luggage storage service is free on check-in and check-out days.Only con here is no elevator and narrow stairs but the manager will carry all luggage for you if you ask for.

5mins walking distance from myeong dong station exit 5. Near to shopping street and many food places around. Room is big enough to open up two medium sized luggages. Pretty shag to transport luggage up the stairs.

Rooms are not really big but there’s everything you’ll need (hairdryer, TV, fridge, shampoo, towels, bedsheets and so on, and you don’t have to share a bathroom. The room was clean.Service was great, both administrators are friendly and helpful! They solved problem for 5 min.Location can’t be better, 5 min from subway and it’s located directly in Myeondong shopping street area. Districtis totally safe, I was back at 01:00 and I didn’t see any drunk, crazy people or homeless drug addicted.
