I had an excellent stay at this hostel. Everything was fantastic, and the highlight was definitely the host. She was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The farewell was tough because we truly felt at home. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay with outstanding hospitality.

This place alone proves that you should not trust appearances. Even if the exterior is not very beautiful, and the elevator a little scary, when you enter the common room you are immediately warmly welcomed by Judith who is the most adorable person I have met and who also speaks good English which makes communication easier, and by a large, very cute and really well decorated room, just as practical as a house with its fully equipped kitchen.The manager provides very good advice regarding activities and is very attentive to our needs.As for the rooms, they are large and practical with functional air conditioning and fairly comfortable beds.The shower is clean with towels, shower gels and shampoo available.As for the location, the hotel is located near the port so a little fishy smell but bearable but above all a market right next door with a lot of choice of fish and fried chicken.I highly recommend choosing this hotel because the hotel is really beautiful, pleasant and practical for group, family or solo vacations.

If you’re looking for a place to stay in Sokcho, look no further. Sokcho & Guesthouse is the place. Centrally located and close to the fishery market with a good bus connection to the seoraksan national park. Judith (she’s the owner) is the best. She takes time to explain everything, helps you with buying business tickets and even went out with us to have coffee :). The rooms are hostel like basic but you have everything you need. Even breakfast is included. If I ever come back to Sokcho I’ll surely come here again.

We would particularly like to highlight the host Judith, she takes care of all matters and always has a recommendation ready. Upon arrival we received a detailed idea of the location and possible excursion destinations. In addition, current bus schedules and maps are hanging in the accommodation. The breakfast was also very tasty. When we had a problem with our room, it was taken care of extensively and we were able to change rooms.

Family-friendly inn with a really nice owner who cares about the well-being of her guests. Very good breakfast. Beds a bit hard. Location is great, right next to the bus station!

This is an absolutely delightful hostel, located near the Sokcho coast, at walking distance from the intercity bus terminal. The rooms are basic but clean. I wish they had a bathroom mat and a shower corner though.The kitchen has a very soothing ambience. I liked the breakfast, especially the homemade strawberry jam.Judith is an absolute gem. She gives the best travel and hiking tips to all the guests. She didn't charge me for my laundry, so thanks a lot!I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone traveling in Sokcho.

I’ve been traveling for months and this is my very favorite place that I’ve stayed!!! The hotel set up is done wonderfully. It’s very clean, friendly, and adorable and perfectly located near the market, the water, the lighthouse, and near the bus station. There’s a yummy breakfast, computers to use for travel planning, a seating area/fridge space, and great rooms! Judith, who runs the place, is the sweetest! She is very kind and friendly and can help you plan things to do in the area, and how to get to where you are going! We had a great time here! Highly recommend!!!
