I had a pleasant stay at Red Lighthouse Guesthouse! I think it's one of my best stay over my 2 weeks in Korea as the room has everything you need e.g., tv, heated & comfortable bed. The host couple is very nice and friendly and the location of the hostel is just opposite the intercity bus terminal

I highly recommend staying at the guesthouse! It is charmingly decorated, comfortable, and situated very conveniently. It is right across the street from the intercity bus terminal, as well as being a 10-15 minute walk from just about anything you would want to do or see in Sokcho: near the pavilion, a beautiful lake, the beach, the traditional market, and more... Although there are plentiful tasty restaurants, coffee shops, and gelato places nearby, I cannot speak highly enough about the free breakfast served at the guesthouse! Really delicious, fresh, and filling. Also, the common area was very nice. I loved my stay here and can't wait to visit again!

The room was clean and quirky in a good way. Location is very good. It was walking distance to touristy spots and the famous fish market. There is a bus station right across with access to Soerak-san National park. We stayed for 2 days and were originally plan to do the hike but it was hailing, so we decided to explore the area instead. The lady stationing the house was very helpful and resourceful. We asked for places to explore and seafood restaurant recommendations. We ended up having the best seafood stew ever! Thanks for having us, you are a 5 star and will def come back if there’s a chance 👋

Highly recommended. It is close to the passenger terminal. The boss and his wife are very enthusiastic and will explain and introduce sightseeing information. The facilities on the first floor are complete (water dispenser, refrigerator, microwave oven, various tableware), which is very suitable for self-guided travel and family travel.

The hotel is very close to the bus station. Transportation is convenient nearby. You can walk to the tourist market and downtown area. The service is good. I will stay here again next time.

[Parking/Accessibility]Parking is available for all households, but since it is limited, you can conveniently park at the Sokcho Cultural Center right next door.[Check-in/Check-out]The owner kindly guided us, and we were able to receive comfortable service even though we had a late check-in. Check-out is until 11:00, and an additional charge of 10,000 won per hour is charged.[Cleanliness/Amenities]Basically, it is in the same condition as a 3-star hotel, and the price is really cheap compared to that.The room was very clean, there was no smell, and the bathroom was clean so I was able to stay comfortably.Toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, and body shower are provided as standard, and toothbrushes are sold at the counter for 1,000 won. Also, it was nice that the bedding was provided with an electric blanket, providing a comfortable rest for winter travelers.[Other convenience/location]This hotel provides free morning breakfast. Eating smelly food (snow crab, red crab, grilled fish) is prohibited in the room, but other than that, it is okay. You can eat freely in the communal dining area (chicken, hamburgers, etc.).
