Stayed in this property for my first two nights in Seoul with a friend. It was highly recommended on Airbnb and rightly so because of Jooseok who is the most gracious host ever. He helped us throughout the stay and in his broken English he always greeted us no matter what time of the day or night we stepped out or stepped in. He stays inside the property that’s really old but well maintained. The host is the asset here I feel. The rooms are squeaking clean and odor free. But really small. We dint realize this until we saw the place. Most hanok residences will be like this coz the other one we stayed at in another location in Korea was also equally small. But the location is ideal. So many places are walking and it’s very very conveniently located on proximity to the Anguk metro station. As well as in a neighborhood with popular cafes and restaurants.Great value for money.

The owner is friendly and clean. It's the same as the house that brings back memories of my old days. It's a bit rustic, but the bedding is clean and the bathroom is in good condition.

Traditional Korean han-ok style living quarters, secluded from the bustle of the city yet very accessible to Insadong, Korean palaces, and Royal tombs, which are about 10-15min walking distance. The enclosed courtyard is peaceful and you can even hear crickets chirping inside. You would never know you were in a bustling metropolitan city!Manager Jooseok is nice and attentive to the guests' needs - cooking breakfast and giving tips on where to visit. During my one-week stay here, I've seen both Korean families and overseas visitors (France, Japan, China, etc) stay here.
