Currently named Life In Guest House.Location is SUPERB. Insadong is where the traditional, artsy, and creative people hang out. Near Angguk station and Jongno 3 station.Had some difficulties locating the hotel but the entrance is a small alleyway along insadong street.Rooms are clean and small. Luggage space is under the bed but the floor area can accomodate 1 open large luggage. Shower heater works fine.I saw they clean the rooms everyday but we opted not to. They have communal pantry and a hangout place on the rooftop. Be warned there is no elevator but the good thing is the rooms are only 1st and 2nd floor. Door knobs are combination key locked. They dont communicate quickly so if you have any inquiries do ask them before check in. I booked through agoda and had to getThe cs team to make them reply to me.All in all will book again in the future!

Honestly, a really good value for the price. Located right in the heart of Insadong so you’re only a walk away from the Insadong night food markets (east), Jogyesa temple (north), and in between the Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace (northwest and northeast).Just be wary if you have large bags. The staircase is narrow and there is no lift. The room is a bit small but enough for 2 of us since we just slept in it.Amenities (toilet paper, drinking water, soap/shampoo/towels) were always available outside the rooms. Kenny is a wonderful host and even better musician! When you have the chance, get on the rooftop and chat with him or other people. I’m lucky I did while having my clothes washed/dried (5000 won total).

I stayed in a room for 4 people, with 2 bunk beds, 1 bathroom. Although the room was a bit small, it is close to the center, convenient to travel, cheap, and the manager was very friendly.

Right in the middle of Insadong-gil and is near a few subway stations but does require a bit of walk ( 5-10 min). No lift within the 3 storey building and rooms are on the first and second floor so if you have heavy luggages do take note, hopefully you get the ground floor rooms :) the room for two (queen) bed feel like it might be a little squeezy for two since it feels just nice for me alone. the amenities like water dispenser and breakfast are on the third floor with the roof terrace, so yap more stairs climbing. staff was really friendly and helpful for my every need, especially when my aircon spills dust when I turn it on, he was very quick to change the bedding. But the air con did continue to blow out dust for the next few days but it wasn’t too much and I didn’t bother since I am often outside but if you are particular, you might want to ask for a change of room. Overall a value for money stay with all the basics.

We make a reservation through Bokking, after a month they cancel it without giving explanation, we book again in case there has been an error and they cancel it again, beware travelers your trip may be in danger.

Ahh today was my last day in South Korea, the owner Kenny was so nice and made my first solo trip out of the country amazing! It is perfect for solo travelers, at least it was for me! It’s near a lot of popular tourist attractions so that’s a plus! Bye Kenny, thank you for everything!
