Sollago Myeongdong Hotel & Residence

I had a pretty bad experience at **Sollago Myeongdong Hotel & Residence**. Room was very cramped, not enough space to feel comfortable. This made my stay unpleasant. In addition, the breakfast buffet also did not meet expectations. The food looked wilted and dry, lacking freshness, making for an unappetizing breakfast with a lack of quality options.For the price I paid, I expected a much better service and experience. This was truly an uncomfortable experience and I do not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and quality of service.

The staff is very rude! They told me after the check out that the luggage storage is Only for checked in guests to leave luggages outside in an automatic storage that accepts luggage only for one hour (you have to come back to add time) we lost one hour trying to find a luggage storage next to a stop of limousine bus to the airport. When we tried to ask again they accepted the luggage for 6000 won when i asked why they didn't tell me before a man of the staff yelled at me. The room was beautiful but i would not come back.

I regret choosing Sollago Myeongdong Hotel & Residence for my stay in Korea. Despite the name, the hotel is not actually in Myeongdong—it’s one station away, located near Chungmu-ro station. This was quite disappointing as I had expected to stay closer to the heart of Myeongdong.Another frustrating aspect was the hairdryer situation. They had it locked inside a mirror storage unit in the washroom, making it impossible to relax and comfortably dry my hair after a long day of shopping. And for what? The hairdryer wasn’t even a high-quality or fancy product—it was weak and cheap, adding to the overall discomfort of the stay.While there is a washing machine in the room, it’s important to note that it has no drying function. With limited hangers provided and no hanging rope, it was nearly impossible to dry my clothes after washing them.After checking out, I realized I had left two jackets in the room closet. I called the front desk, and they confirmed they found my jackets, which was a relief. However, they offered to send them to the airport, but my schedule was tight, and the airport was an hour away from the hotel. Initially, one staff member told me they could mail my jackets to me if I paid for the freight, which seemed reasonable. However, when I called back to confirm, a different staff member said they wouldn’t mail them at all. Instead, they suggested I find a friend to pick them up. Since I was traveling alone and didn’t know anyone in the area, this was extremely unhelpful and frustrating. The lack of assistance from the staff only added to my disappointment with the hotel.The hotel itself feels more like an old factory building rather than a proper hotel. Walking out of the lift toward my room was off-putting, and the furnishings were very basic and uninviting. There was no atmosphere or charm to speak of, which made the experience even less enjoyable. It genuinely felt like I was staying in a place that lacked the warmth and service one would expect from a hotel.Given my experience and the misleading location, I will never come back again. I wouldn’t recommend Sollago Myeongdong Hotel & Residence to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and relaxing place to stay in Korea. There are much better options available.

We stayed as a family in a Junior Suite at the Solladong Hotel in Seoul. The room was spacious and well-equipped with a microwave, kettle, and even a washing machine. …

The location is good, the room is good, environmentally friendly, there is mineral water, bathrobes, and a toilet for washing your butt.There are supermarkets with counter staff who can speak Chinese, Japanese or English, and you can also pay parking fees by yourself.There are four elevators, a golf driving range in the basement, and a smoking area outside for convenient eating and drinking.Overall, I think it's great. The luggage and bags sold on the first floor are quite affordable.The only thing I didn't get used to was that the pillows were a bit soft, and I had to bring my own toothbrush.

favorite hotelPreviously, they kept my suitcase after I checked out, but there was a locker outside, and I was asked to put it in the locker after checking out. I guess it can't be helped because the number of customers has increased.This hotel is close to the station and convenient for going to the downtown area. Also, it's nice that the room has a large refrigerator and a washing machine. It's convenient because you can freeze a large ice pack from Japan and bring back kimchi or makgeolli.

The location is good and it's clean, but I think it's a renovated studio apartment.
