MyeongDong New Stay Inn

The attention was wonderful, the staff was excellent, very friendly and the location was very good, central. Without a doubt, if I returned to Korea we would stay here again.

I went to Korea for 2 nights on my first solo trip abroad. On the second night, when I tried to enter the room, the door wouldn't open even when I used my card key. There was no one at the front desk, so I tried calling the phone number that told me to call in case of anything, but I couldn't get through.I saw a Kakao QR on a piece of paper that said "Contact me," so I called. He told me where the master key was, and when I went back to the room, it wouldn't open, so I called and a staff member finally came. The problem was that the battery in the door itself was dead, and it took an hour to get into the room.I knew when I made the reservation that there was no staff at the front desk, but if the response was so slow, I should have booked another hotel.Additionally, I never received a single apology on the phone, on Kakao Talk, or in person with the staff.Next time I go to Korea, I will definitely go to a different hotel.

I've been in the Myedondong New Stay Inn Hostel for 10 days due to my Seoul trip with my GF and we found the hostel really comfortable and clean. Also, the structure is literally in the center of Myendong, the most known street of Seoul were you can find tipycal food and a lot stores opened till midnight.I suggest to pick it up for your Seoul, also because the guys who works here are really nice and usefull for any inconvenience!

Your reserved room and name will be displayed on the screen of the machine next to the counter. If you press the necessary information, you will be issued a room key.There was welcome water, Korean power outlets, and various USB and charging cables.This time we have a double room of 10 square meters.I booked it on Agoda and it was about 5,500 yen for one night without meals on weekdays.It's pretty close to the station, cheap, and clean, so I don't think it's bad.thank you very much!

There is a self-service check-in machine, and the service staff has a good attitude, but there is no one at the counter at night. Various supplies are ready for self-pickup next to the service counter, but the room and bathroom are really not big, and the air-conditioning is strong enough. If you want to live near Myeongdong, you can If you don’t want to spend too much money to stay in a hotel and don’t have big room requirements, this is a good choice.It takes about three minutes to walk to Chungmuro ​​Station Exit 5. Transfer to Line 3 and get to Euljiro Entrance Station in one stop. When you walk out, you will find Myeongdong Shopping Street. If you walk to Myeongdong, it will take about ten minutes.

Is the location 5 minutes walk from the station? It's in the place!Mr. Stapp was not there!The room was clean, but the towels were very smelly, which was a shame.But the price was so cheap that I might go again. Bring your own towel 🤭

Had the opportunity to stay in 2 different rooms during my 5 night stay here. Location was near to 2-3 subway stations, close to Myeongdong shopping street but without the loud noises! Conveniently above a GS25 so getting late night snacks was really convenient!One of the room I got on level 3 was bigger and really comfortable! I had enough space to open both my big luggage and small carry on! The other room I got on level 5 (double decker bed) was smaller. Do take note if booking the double decker rooms as my big luggage took up quite some space when it was fully opened but it was still ok/walkable within the room!Really happy with the free washing machine + dryer, water cooler, towels, toothbrush set, earplugs! Some towels in the room did have a smell but so many was provided and readily available at the counter that I had no issues! :) Mini fridge in the rooms also had bottles of water for consumption!Toilets have shampoo and soap only, no conditioner! No separation between shower area and the toilet bowl/sink etc too so the whole toilet might get wet during showers. The toilet lights off automatically after some time so before showering it’ll be good to off and on the lights! Would be better if a floor mat could be placed outside the toilet to prevent the floor outside from getting wet when stepping out of the shower!Bed, pillow, and blanket were soooo comfortable!One of the best places i’ve stayed in Seoul so far and value for money! Highly recommend! Luggage storage at the counter was also really convenient!(Would be great to have a separate lock or door lock hatch from inside the room :)

Who said this place is clean? The refrigerator smell really bad as well as all the towels provided, smell like they haven't get clean properly. A serious hygienic is a huge concern for this place.I don't mind the un-fuctional space in the room, but please consider to do a better shower room plan. I already saw some black molds inside shower room, if the hotel don't renovate the shower room soon, the door will get soak with water, get more molds and get broken.This place should be the last place traveller consider to stay, except you are not so clean person.

The Inn (not a hotel) is located not directly on the shopping street of Myeongdong, but it is close to it, just across the street. It is located on the second, third, and fourth floors of a building, and the CU convenience store (or was it GS25) occupied the first floor.You can self-check in using the computer in the lobby on the second floor. The machine will give you your room access card. On the lobby floor, you can get a clean towel, water dispenser, and coffee maker. There's also a washing machine and dryer that we can use on that floor (free for use).The staff are very friendly, even helping us with pointers for the laundry and how to find good food around the hotel. what impresses me so much is they have separated trash cans for each type of trash (sorry if you think that is lame, but I love this kind of small gesture but impactful)the room is not that big, but it is sufficient; I will return because of the friendly staff and free laundry.
