For my first visit to Seoul, I recognized the Moxy from an awesome stay in NYC! I truly enjoyed the five days I stayed here. The vibe of the hotel feels familiar but the service is sweet and efficient. Any concerns I had were promptly addressed, and I to shout out Minji (or is it Minjee, 미안해!) for being exceptionally cheerful whenever it came breakfast time. The hotel has quality washing machine and drier (good for if you’re trying to keep light) and an awesome rooftop view.

Great location. Decent rooms. Comfortable beds, nice shower. Only two elevators, which can be slow and backed up.

This is a 3.5 stars for me*Location*Right in front of exit 4 of Jongno 3-ga station. It’s a really busy street all day long, it seems to have a party vibe with street food stands every night and it’s busy with the local senior population during the day. If you don’t like crowds and noise, this is not the place for you. I was on the 7th floor, we could hear some music from far at some points at night. It was my first visit to Seoul and while I appreciated the connivence of this location when going to the palaces and sightseeing in general, I didn’t like the constant flow of people around and the smell of the area.If you are travelling from/to ICN, there are bus stops for the airport limousine bus within 10 - 15 minutes walk. It costs 17 000 KW.*Rooms*We had a 2-bed room which we found to be small but apparently OK for Seoul standards. I can confirm they maximize the use of the space. The bathroom’s door is a barn door and the bathroom is divided in 3: shower, toilette room and the sink area (in the middle). The day we arrived, the toilette room had some yellow-ish stains on the walls. We were too tired from our trip to switch rooms so we asked them to look at it the next day, stains were mostly removed the 2nd day.The shower was perfect. Good water pressure and spacious.Rooms have an open space closet, it’s small for 2 people.Beds are on the hard side. There are no washcloth towels.*Service and Hotel*Hotels reception (check-in and check-out) is located on the 16th floor merged with the bar. It’s not convenient at all since you’ll have to drag your suitcases one extra elevator ride when you come in plus if you have quick questions on your way in our out, you’ll have to go out of your way to speak to the staff. We communicated with the staff mostly via the Marriott’s app.The 2nd floor has a small gym and the breakfast/lounge area. We didn’t get breakfast there but we used the lounge area one night we had take-out. It’s a nice place if you want to relax outside your room. The laundry area is the basement. There are 2 washers and 2 dryers. Each load costs 4000 KW (so 8 000 KW wash + dry) which it’s pricer compared to what we had in Japan’s hotels (5 CAD for the full wash + dry). Very clean appliances. The ground floor has a game room.Elevators are quite slow. I might be wrong but I think by default they go to the 16th floor when they are idle.Overall, I am not sure I’dstay at this hotel again when in Seoul next time.

A hotel in a convenient and lively location. Although it was a small room with no view, the room was quiet, clean, and bright, and I felt like I was in my own room. …
