No hot water in my shower. every evening we washed in cold water. NO RECEPTION AT ENTRY. Everything is done by email when you arrive, it is not indicated on Booking

I booked this place through airbnb, and it was good at first.Midway, they requested access to do some maintenance work. They said there was a leak happening directly under our room, and they needed to get it looked at.The next day, the maintenance crew said that they needed to redo the sealant and we would not be able to use the bathroom till 3pm the next day. This communicated to us that the host had not ensured the room was usable before we checked in.It is improper for guests not have access to a bathroom for a whole night and morning, so we requested a solution. Hours later, they said we could use the bathroom of, or move into another room till 3pm the next day, after which we need to move back to our room. I requested that we be allowed to stay in the new room.When we got back at 11pm, we found that the new room they had given us was a tiny one with a single bed, when we are two travellers. They were uncontactable as it was past office hours. So we stayed in our room that smelt strongly of sealant and chemicals.The next day, they apologized, and then said that the maintenance team needed to come in again to check if the sealant was okay. So for a few days, the team just want people walking in and out of our room to check on maintenance things that they should have checked before we came to stay.I did not agree to allow more visits, and since we were checking out the next morning, they could wait one day to check the room. They agreed, but when we came back, there were obvious signs that someone had been in the room despite our wishes. The team said that there had been a mixup, and the housekeeping team entered to tidy up on the wrong dayI found this stay to be unacceptable, as they were treating us like tenants rather than guests. Any fixes they offered had to be requested and fought for. It was just such a ridiculous and unpleasant experience.I recognize nobody else seems to have had such an experience, and maybe I was just unlucky. I hope they learn from this, and that no one else has such an experience with them in future.
