I was surprised that the room price was a bit cheap, and the rating was not good, but since it was peak season, I had no choice but to choose! Overall it wasn't that bad. I lived in a homestay in Australia a long time ago, and it felt exactly like that. It brings back memories...You have to understand that the water in the bathroom doesn't drain well, and due to the nature of the wooden building, it smells like old, moldy wood. But the view is a work of art. A place that is harmonized with nature and has a view, reminiscent of an elf's house in nature!The perfect place for healing!Since there were more than 10 people, it was difficult to use the grill, but it was great that we could do it all at once here. The grill barbecue was foreign-style with a lid, so it was perfect for back ribs.

I had a good rest. The open-air bath was so hot that I couldn't go in. There are a lot of cats, but maybe because they are mountain cats, they are really fierce. If you reach out your hand too hastily, they will kill you!!! Wow!

The building was quite old, but it wasn't too bad~ Open-air bath? The water wasn't that clean... haha, but I enjoyed it... It would be nice if there was a little more maintenance involved! Then I think it would be great in fall and winter.

We arrived at peak season for seeing fall color here in Pyeongchang. This place is perfect for that! It's in the valley that our room overlooks. Waking up each morning to watch the fog lift and reveal the mountains has been a treat as well. It's an easy quiet walk down to the river. The proprietor has been extremely helpful and very accommodating. I would say there are a lot of insects around (mostly crickets and harmless house spiders), but I would imagine any mountain cabin that is surrounded with such an abundance of trees would have a fair share of natural wildlife. Riverhill had been a lovely stay for us.
