The location of the hotel is perfect, the hotel has a small private beach, but right next to it there is a very nice beach, which you can walk to at low tide and 150 meters along a path at high tide.We had a delicious meal in the Sunset Cove restaurant, a good varied breakfast and dinner was also tasty, we did not eat there every evening but we did eat there often.Kayaks are available to paddle into the mangrove forest at high tide, encountering flying fish and large turtles along the way.We slept in the apartment, super spacious, fantastic views and a mega bathroom. Josh the hotel manager is full of great tips and things to see on the island, viewpoints, beaches and restaurants.Tip rent a car at the hotel, it's cheap and no hassle at the airport. The hotel has a transfer to and from the airport (pick up before 6:00 PM), if you arrive later take a taxi, costs about 4000 Yen, 25 minutes drive, easy to do.

Last summer, I used the restaurant because it was close to my hotel. Great customer service. Especially the woman who was handling the foreign guests...she was a bright and wonderful person who made me feel better. I went with my kids and the food was delicious!

Amazing experience at North Ishigaki-Island.The hotel has semi-private beach and pool.You can use the pool when you take lunch at the restaurant even if you dont stay at the hotelThe other beach(Itona-beach) is also close in 5 min walking.The owner's/staffs recommended spot/location places are awesome where only local person knows.I recommend to rent a car at the hotel and enjoy at the north area of Ishigaki Island.oh, one more very important thing..the food at there are bit costy but amazingly significant!I recommend to stay here big time!

We stayed in Ishigaki for 5 days. Sunset Cove is a little remote, but that's what we wanted. You really find peace. It is recommended to rent a rental car, otherwise you will have to rely on the bus, which only runs rarely.The staff is very nice and always helpful. We had an ant infestation which was taken care of immediately. Unfortunately, the rooms were not cleaned properly. Only the bed sheet was made. We can only assume but think that the staff is not professionally trained.The positive thing is that kayaks can be rented for free and the mangrove forest can be explored on your own without having to book a tour.At the hotel's recommendation we booked a snorkeling tour, which we can only recommend.

This place is really overpriced for what it is. For almost $200 per night we didn't get our room cleaned once during our 5 day stay, so there was sand all over the floor and hair everywhere from the last guests. …
