I was very satisfied with the wonderful location, facilities, and service. This is a high-grade hotel on Ishigaki Island, and we were very grateful for their flexible support. The ocean view room had a great view and I was very happy.

Two adults stayed in Ocean Wing for three nights during the October holidays of 2024. Overall I'm very satisfied, but I have some thoughts about it so I'm writing a review.[About breakfast]Reservations are required online from 6:00 on the day of the event. You can't decide on a time and it will be served in the order you make your reservation, so even if you want to eat around 7 o'clock, it might be earlier or later. I didn't want to be late, so I woke up at 6:30 a.m. every day to make reservations, a system that really ruined the feeling of traveling. I wish I could at least know how many people are waiting, but suddenly it's my turn and I'm told to come within 15 minutes, which makes me a little sad every morning. The breakfast was all satisfying and I highly recommend the Japanese food in Yaeyama, where you can relax.[About customer service]Everyone's greetings and smiles are perfect. It feels like professional customer service! But if you go during the busy season, you'll probably be annoyed (lol) You'll have to wait a long time to check in and out, and even if you book a taxi and it's waiting at the entrance, is it a taxi? I was a little passive when I heard the clinking of dishes as I was cleaning up at the Ocean Wing buffet...I'm concerned because I'm a very particular person, and I think it's because it's a top-class hotel on Ishigaki Island. Masu. The friends I went with didn't care about anything.[About the room]The hotel is divided into four parts: Club Wing, Bay Wing, Coral Wing, and Ocean Wing. The club building is a different world, and people from other buildings don't seem to be able to enter. I haven't tried it though. The bay wing is new and the sunset pool is stylish. Is Coral Wing suitable for large groups? This is my impression. Ocean Wing is the oldest, so it feels like it has aged well. Will Ocean Wing guests not be able to enter the sunset pool from November 2024? The places you can go within the hotel are the old rooms, the pool, and the beach in front of you. If you want to experience the highest quality, you should choose the Club Building, and if you want to experience luxury, you should choose the Bay Wing.I've written about some of the things that aren't so great, but the care for the plants, the size of the grounds, and the luxurious feel are things you won't find at other hotels. I hope this will be helpful to those who are considering staying overnight.

„We do the best to make you feel 2nd class“For check in we had to wait 30min and no one behind the counter seemed to be willing to support us.During check in as IHG members, we heard we can’t earn reward points and also benefits don’t apply for us. Literally the family infront of got a free drink offered, but for us „because you booked on another portal, it doesn’t apply to you“.Later on the pool we could see how poorly the garden, pool and beach are maintained. At the pool the bigger facilities are not included and require a fee and beforehand reservation.Due to holiday the spa was closed. And same applies day later for the restaurant. Incredible right??Last but not least the gym is a pure joke.Overall highly disappointed. Especially for the price they charge you.Hotel sent us a survey which we answered thoroughly but… no reply. Customer service worst I have ever encountered in Japan.

The room was spacious and clean, but I thought the customer service and customer service could be improved. I think this is probably due to a lack of staff, but I have experienced good customer service and customer service at other hotels during my stay, so I wonder why such an expensive hotel has such a level of service. There are replies to other reviews saying that they will consider improving similar points, but it seems that no improvements have been made as of at least October 2024.It's a shame even though they have good facilities, a well-known reputation as a hotel, and some wonderful staff.・There was a wait of over an hour for breakfast, and the restaurant staff told us that they have a reservation system. We did not receive any information about the reservation system, including at check-in, and even when we informed the front desk, there was no apology. At that time, I was given a paper explaining the system, but I have not received it yet. As a result, our departure in the morning was significantly delayed and our plans for the day were thrown off.・When I try to use the reservation system, it just says "Before calling" and doesn't show how long I'll have to wait (the explanation says there will be a wait time, but this happened twice in a row. ). What's more, when you call, the call will be automatically canceled if you don't go within 15 minutes, making the system very inconvenient to use (you won't notice unless you keep looking at the screen). In the end, after about 90 minutes, we finally entered the restaurant. In addition, the Japanese restaurants are delicious, but the buffet style is too ordinary. Neither is worth 4,000 yen.・We had lunch by the pool, but the answer will vary depending on the staff you ask, which restaurants are open and where to take your order. I ended up talking to 3-4 people and finally ordering. The food here is not very tasty considering the price.・Although I had requested a stroller in advance, the stroller never arrived until the end.・There are clearly not many coin laundry facilities. Other customers were also waiting in line. You won't be able to use it unless you wait outside for a long time.(At other hotels, the necessary amount was placed in each area on each floor, so this never happened.)・An entry fee of approximately 1,000 yen will be collected at check-out, but there is no specific explanation. By the way, I was not charged at other hotels. If it was a resort fee, it would be nice if they could explain it that way, but for some reason, when they explained that it was an island entry fee, I got a "?" response.
