[5th time]This is the 5th review, skipping the 4th. We stayed for 2 nights in late October 2023. At this time of year, the morning and evening breezes were cool, making it more comfortable than I expected. The guests this time were all unique people, and all of them were from professions that you wouldn't normally meet in your daily life. So, with the owner's lead, we have a lot of fun chatting in the living room morning, noon, and night. This was my first time staying in a dormitory. The bunk beds have curtains so you can feel like you are in a private room. Each bed is equipped with a counter for storing small items, an outlet, and a light.[3rd time]I stayed here for 3 nights in June and then in late November this year. As usual, the travelers staying here are all people who love traveling and have fun. The air and water temperatures were still high, so I was able to snorkel with just a normal rash guard. I'll visit you again. *Since there are no shops nearby to shop, this time without a rental car, I stocked up on three days' worth of breakfast yogurt and boiled eggs on the first day. There is a refrigerator.[Revisit] I stayed there last December and felt comfortable, so I went there for the second time, in June. Unlike winter, there are snorkeling tours and barbecues (depending on the day). As for snorkeling, the owner and those who wish to stay overnight will go together. There were many advanced swimmers, and as a beginner (life jacket required), I was hesitant, but everyone was so kind that I was able to swim comfortably. There is no air conditioning during tea time. However, there is one in each room and you can use it for 100 yen per hour. The bedding was also kept clean and although other reviews talked about dust mites, I wasn't bitten. I'll visit you again![First time] This is a comfortable inn perfect for those who think that the real pleasure of traveling is not just the scenery, but also the encounters with the local people. On the other hand, it is not suitable for people who are not used to traveling or who think of traveling as a luxury. The story of the host and the kind consideration of the host's wife fit me perfectly, and I was able to spend a comfortable time there. The other guests are also people who know how to keep a good distance from each other, and the time passes smoothly as they greet each other, chat, and offer facilities such as toilets and showers. In addition, the female-only traditional Thai massage provided by my wife was very authentic, taught me my weaknesses, and gave me advice on stretching later on, so I recommend it to female guests. The location is in a residential area on Kurima Island, so it's quiet, but there are many fashionable shops around.Meals are toast, jam butter, and coffee from 7am to 10am. It is served in the evening at 8pm and only on certain days of the week. My day was curry. This is also delicious. If it's not dinner date, there is a local mom's izakaya nearby that is open all year round. There is also a famous Miyako soba restaurant next door. Lights are turned off at 11pm at night. A private room comes with one towel. There are no amenities or nightwear provided. Beer and drinks are sold in refrigerated showcases. Instant coffee and tea are free drinks. Next time, I would like to visit during the best season for snorkeling.
