We dodn’t sleep there but we booked the surf boat to take us to Telescopes spot but when we arrived there at 6.30 in the morning, as they asked us to, they were all closed, probably sleeping. Not recommended at all

My ferry to Sipora was canceled from Siberut. It's certainly not the establishment's fault, but no commercial gesture on their part, they just kept all of my money already spent on the reservation. And of course, a little ghosting per message

Excessive price of transport between the port and the homestay (50k per person for 10 minutes)Engine breakdown during our excursion, we ask for something. This results in aggressive and threatening (violent??) staff when we show our disagreement with them.Trash not emptied, air conditioning broken during the night.Scooter in poor condition, 1 helmet for 6 people, we were told that we took them anyway but did not want to understand that they were the only ones to rent scooters in the area.

We stayed here for 10 days, very good location for surfing in this side of the island. Arthur is so helpful and polite for everything. Rooms are comfy and clean. They are organising boat trips to the spots with affordable prices and best crew!!! Captain and guides are just ripping also!!! Cant wait to come back again!

Nice guesthouse. The rooms are very basic; it would be great to add some shelves like tables or nightstands. There are also few options for hanging things. Otherwise, the guesthouse is close to the beach with nice restaurants nearby. Renting a scooter is easy. And for the price, it's great.

The place is located close to the beach. And also there is a nice cafe called “LIKAT MENTAWAI” about 5min walk away. You can get a good espresso coffee and fresh dishes over there.The manager “Rinto” is awesome!!He speaks English and helps people all the time!!Negative point is surfing boat trip fee is expensive than I thought.

I have been lucky enough to stay many different times over a period of 5 years at Arthur homestay, I go there to surf and enjoy the local people, I can honestly say my experience every time has been lovely and as a small village I have always been welcomed with heart warming smiles and conversations. It's a gem , I realise after travelling the world for over 25 years that Arthur homestay in Mapadegat village is a fantastic place to relax and feel humble. So I believe that anyone that makes it there is lucky. I will be going back there again and again. Thank you Mapadegat and thank you Arthur homestay.

One of the best hospitality I have ever had! A truly great host & his team. We stayed for 3 nights but wish to stay longer! This place is perfect for short stay or even 'work from home'! Clean bathroom, good internet connection, very accessible, and a very reasonable price! We did surfing, snorkeling, sea urching hunting, fishing, kiting, island hopping, and hammocking in a peaceful beautiful remote island, everything with the help of the host & his team. What a perfect experience! If I ever going back to mentawai again, would certainly visit this homestay again!
