Slightly annoying location to get to with suitcases since the nearest station entrance doesn’t have an elevator or escalator, so you have to go around. The interior is surprisingly nice, definitely high quality. Wish they gave more than one towel for free, and had seat cleaning sprays like I’ve seen at other public bathrooms for the toilets, since you’re not gonna have a private toilet here, though.

There are some parts of this hotel that feel downright luxurious for the price that you pay for it. If you’re a westerner like me and want to experience a unique part of Japanese culture for an incredibly affordable price, this place can’t be beat. The communal bath area is incredibly relaxing (so long as you don’t have concerns about modesty), and they have a lounge on the top floor with a fun little manga library and microwave. Everything was incredibly clean and the staff were lovely. My only real critiques were the pillows (which were incredibly uncomfortable, although there were limited softer ones available that seemed to be in high demand), and the fact that they only give you one towel for free. I’m fine with reusing towels, but there’s nowhere to hang them up to dry besides the inside of your locker, which results in them still being damp the next morning and your clothes getting musty.

Needed a place to stay as had a 2 day break in Japan. Always knew of the capsule hotels but was always unsure and apprehensive. Have to say, this was exactly how I hoped it would have been and was perfect for me.I was up early from around 7:30am and didn't return till early evening around 9:30pm. The place was extremely clean and well organized. If you're not very good at Japanese, I wouldn't be too worried as the receptionists were all very welcoming, friendly and could understand English.Shoes off as you come in and put in locker. Give key to reception, who then as a how to guide for you to read. Gives you capsule number which is also locker number with key. Bathroom towels big and small provided, with toothpaste, toothbrush, razer, flip flops and pyjamas. Everything you need!Cabins can be on 3rd or 4th floor. 3rd is where the onsen is. Everyone there whilst I stayed was very quiet which was great for me. No socializing , loud talking, facetime, music, Whatsapp going off etc. Lockers on 3rd, toilets on vothOnsen had 2 people at most whilst I was there.Beds were comfy, good airflow in the cabin I had. I had a softer pillow.Overall, exactly what I needed. A spotless clean comfy place to wash and go bed, rest and ready for the next day of exploration!!

After much deliberation as to whether I should stay in a capsule hotel or traditional hotel for my three-night stay in Osaka, I went with J-ship Osaka Namba based on the reviews, and I couldn’t be more pleased. With friendly staff, a great location and clean, comfortable and stylish accommodations, I couldn’t ask for anything more. From the sparkly pink sink on the ladies’ floor to the uber quiet sliding door for entering and exiting the sleeping quarters, the small touches make a huge difference. The value is a total steal. I had my first full night of good sleep here.

I booked a deluxe cabin. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and I thought the bed was really comfortable! Most importantly, the cleaning ladies were all so nice, and really serious in making sure that the rooms were well cleaned. …

The hotel provided an excellent and relaxing experience. Capsules were clean, comfortable, and not too hot (I'm a very hot sleeper, so I was concerned about ventilation, but it was very comfy even at 6'0"/183cm tall). The staff was very respectful, professional, and accommodating - they helped us with luggage forwarding, holding luggage, and were very friendly during every interaction). The hotel is very thoroughly cleaned every day and cleaning staff was also very nice and thorough. The onsen and bathroom facilities were incredibly relaxing, well stocked, and provided pajamas and towels were a great touch, too. The lockers were big enough for a carry-on and anything else you'd need to store). The location was also excellent - walkable to Shinsekai and Dotonbori, as well as incredibly close to the JR Namba station. There is a daily cleaning time of 10:00am-5:00pm. Facilities do shut down during the day and only the lounge is accessible. You can go into your locker if need be, but cannot use the facilities or come back mid-day for a nap. The lounge was very comfortable and a good place to hangout for the short time we needed it, however. Was not a problem at all for our stay, just something to be aware of if you are the type of person who enjoys a mid-day nap or very late start after a long night of beer and kushikatsu!

We stayed in 3 standard capsules for 1 night. This was our first experience with a capsule hotel, so we didn't know what to expect. Reception is super nice, we arrived early but they let us leave our luggage to explore the city. You cannot enter with shoes: they will provide you with slippers (and also pjs) to use inside. Women have a separate, private floor which needs a special key to access, which is a great solution to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone. Capsules can only be accessed after 17:00 and are to be left at 11:00, even if you stay multiple nights, which might deter guests looking to stay for more nights. Capsules were very comfortable, not too small, and have outlets of all types for electronics and also an embed radio/alarm. As men have multiple floors, all floors have bathrooms but only one floor has the storage room and the onsen/showers. The onsen was great: we went at 1am, was very relaxing, clean, and great products were provided. There are both japanese style seated showers and standing showers, and the onsen bath. The top floor has a reading lobby with vending machines both for meals, snacks and drinks, and also mangas and board games.Position is decent, near a JR and metro station, so you are well connected.Overall a great experience for one night, might be more uncomfortable if you are looking to stay for multiple nights.

Depending how you define comfort in sleep and what your looking for, this hotel is a quick and easy place to take shower, nap and bath. The staff are really friendly and the capsule sleep area is really unique.Book this places if all you need is to see the city and take a nap. If your looking for privacy in bathroom, this place is not for you. However if your ok with sharing bathrooms, wash area, then you can consider this place. Also this location is convenient and located just outside of OCAT. This is a 5 minute walk.I will definitely come back again!
