Sanco England NagoyaThis is my 6th time staying here, and I had always wanted to stay on the side of the Nagoya Expressway, but my room was on the opposite side, so I asked if I could take the plunge and was told that the room with the shower booth would be on the side of the Expressway. I made a reservation right away.Accommodation is 23,000 yen per night for two people, and the parking fee at Uni Mall is 1,100 yen. When I come to Nagoya by car and have drinks, I often stay here. The hotel staff is very friendly and the view is great...I have stayed at other hotels as well, but considering the price etc. This is what I like the mostThere is a large public bath, and you can get ice cream for free after taking a bath, and the amenities are also satisfying.I love the delicious breakfast, so I highly recommend it.

You can get there by walking in the direction of Unimall in just ten minutes from Nagoya Station. There is an elevator directly from Exit 14 to the hotel lobby on the 8th floor (there are three elevators, the one closest to the station can go directly to the hotel, and the other two elevators only will lead to the office building). It is a very Japanese-style hotel with a small public space. There are supplies in the lobby that you can pick up and change pillows. There is also a bathhouse and a coin-operated washing machine for washing clothes.I chose a room with a bathtub. The water pressure was very high and it was very comfortable to take a bath. The washbasin, toilet and bathtub were independent of each other. The room was small and there were only sockets on the side of the bed. Only one large suitcase can be placed flat. If you stay for several days and choose not to clean, clean towels and free water will be left at the door.

Overall it was a comfortable stay, however it could be tricky to find if you were to arrive via Shinkansen from Tokyo. Here’s my advice: First locate Uni mall, then walk through the mall until you reach exit U14. That’s where the hotel lift is located.Plus points:There is a 7-11 next to the hotel building with a wide selection of pre cooked foods. Oden etcPlenty of food at Uni mall, i recommend Himono Terasu! It’s a restaurant selling grilled fish . Miso soup , rice and onion salad is free flow. Good Service also !Hotel Amenities : the microwave, ice machine, vending machines. You can even choose your own pillow (if u prefer the harder ones), curling irons etcCons:Nothing much really, I didn’t like the idea of having a sink next to my bed but that is a personal preference.Hopefully with the directions I have given, ppl will find it easier to find the hotel!Stayed 1/10/2024 to 3/10/2024, Had a room on the 16 floor (Nice view!)

≪Additional text below≫I was happy that there was bar soap in the amenity corner.Although many people have commented that it's a hassle, I think it's a good idea for security to have all visitors pass in front of the front desk.==========≪Original text below≫[Points that caught my attention]Serta's mattress was so soft that it was difficult for me, who suffers from back pain.I couldn't sleep well because the curtains had zero light blocking performance. My nightgown was stuffy because it was made of synthetic fibers. Not having tea bags, coffee, or tea cups is a bit stressful.[Good points]The toilet and bathroom were clean with no mold.[Notes]The Uni Mall passageway will be closed from 10:30pm to 7:00pm, so please enter the hotel early on rainy or snowy days.

It's a bit of a walk from Meiekikura, but it's convenient because it's directly connected to Uni Mall. The inside of the building is very beautiful.Very nice with a large public bathThe breakfast buffet is also good because it changes daily and is made in-house.Morning curry is so delicious
