I had the opportunity to go to Tokyo for work and took advantage of it.Since I didn't have much time to stay at the inn, I decided to stay at Samurai Stay Sugamo, which is the cheapest hotel in the area and has convenient transportation.Looking at the reviews for this place, there were a lot of bad reviews about it being too noisy to sleep at night and the rooms being dirty, but when I actually stayed there, I found it to be clean and not noisy at all.I think it will be easier to understand if you imagine the room as a hospital bed. There is a small refrigerator in the room (there is also a proper refrigerator in the living room on the first floor) and an outlet. However, the outlet is located a little far away, so I think it would be better to bring an extension cord with you.The location is in Sugamo, so it's very convenient, and there are supermarkets and convenience stores nearby, so I didn't have any problems finding food or drinks. However, there were very few Japanese people, and there were many foreigners. The surrounding area was very quiet and comfortable. It's much easier to spend time than other manga cafes, so if you're staying there, we recommend this one.

I give it two stars but depending on who you are it can easily be -1 or 5 ...I stayed for 8 nights, 5 nights people were using the washing machine and dryer till past 1am and those are not in a separate room but almost next to the beds ....One of the guys even got aggressive when told not to use the machines that late.Bed was incredible bad, at first I thought the Mattress was just trash but when searching for some socks I looked below the bed and it was actually broken... no Idea if they didn't know or didn't care ... no wonder I couldn't sleep much at all in a broken bed with a bad mattress. The area isn't to bad but very far from the convenient JR station .... there is a tram nearby but usually you will probably walk to the jr or the mita line station which is ~20 minutesThe thing is, if you have luck unlike me and there aren't only disgusting unsocial a-holes staying and you get a non broken bed as well as don't mind the walking the place is not bad at all, its one of the cheaper accommodations so you can save some money and yeah as I said without the bad people and the broken bad I could have enjoyed it... still not sure if 2 stars aren't to much in my case

I was looking for a cheap place to stay and found it.It's the SAMURAI type, which is also available at Senzokuike, but the price was around 3,000 yen, so I jumped at it.Regarding Sugamo, Otsuka Station on the Yamanote Line seems to be the closest station.Even after getting off the train, it will take about 20 minutes to walk if you don't have to change trains again.Transportation is a little tricky. When you enter, it feels like you're separated from the neighbor by a curtain partition and a wooden wall. When I entered the room, for some reason there was a guest in front of me.There were foreigners inside who didn't understand Japanese. When I made inquiries over the phone and handed the phone to the person inside, the person inside ended up answering.I don't know why, but the staff came and remade the bed after that. However, there was a very strong smell left behind by the previous person, which made it difficult to sleep well.By the next day, it had subsided. The center of the bed seemed to be quite concave, so it wasn't very comfortable. That was the evaluation.I can hear the person next door snoring (・・;)
