This is a treasure of a hotel and will be our top pick for our next trip to Tokyo. Even arriving late at night from Haneda, one of the staff was rushing to the door to greet us and help bring our luggage in. And that's where the magic starts, with the extra sense of hospitality and care you receive...as well as being guided past the gorgeous main stairs and through the library to the check in. Reception will not only check you in here, but also offer you wine and local beer if that's to your liking. It didn't take long for me to have my first taste of craft beer in Tokyo!Did I mention location? Gorgeous Shiba Park is a three minute walk away, as is a Le Pain Quotidien, where you can sit down to some delicious pastries for breakfast. A Family Mart and a Natural Lawson are not even a block away for all your combini (and combini dinner) needs. Damion gate is a beautiful short stroll away through the quiet back streets, and just beyond are some of the busy restaurants (and even busier JR station) of Hamamatsucho. There are subways lines all around. Shiba Park Hotel get you peace and quiet AND well-connected travel all from one spot. The rooms are great. They maybe a touch tight for the average US travelers, but we made it work with two suitcases. Better still, they're always clean, don't smell smokey or musty, and are really quite updated in terms of feel and luxury. Oh, and I should point out that the wifi is strong and they didn't skimp on connectivity speeds! The hotel is a joy to explore too, with individual reading books on almost every floor, a gorgeous library to lounge about...and books galore all the way up the main stairs and around the corner where you will find a very quiet reading hallway. If you saw pictures or YouTube videos of all the books here, they do not lie. This is totally a hotel you can retreat into if you've had enough of Tokyo for the day.I also have to recognize the staff, who were so good to us we felt spoiled during our entire stay. From the helpful and frequent emails (answering my many questions) before our arrival, to the greetings we received each day, to finding the details of a private party I wanted to attend at a Shinjuku bar, I feel like the staff here went above and beyond the expectations of the already polite and helpful standard of Japanese hotels. Extra points for calling up my next hotel, checking with them about luggage forwarding, and having all the paperwork filled out BEFORE I brought it down on the day I want to ship. They made the paperwork a non-issue for us. Thank you so much for making us feel at home.12 / 10 rating. This is luxury that feels small, personalized, and attentive. I cannot wait to be back

Nice lobby and library. We had a triple room and it was large for Japanese hotels.

I recommend this hotel with my eyes closed. Arriving from Paris, I dreamed of a place to rest before the start of my big trip. The staff really takes care. Helpful, welcoming, attentive, smiling and responsive. The place is exactly as in the photos. With a lot of charm, luxury and the different libraries offer a unique setting. The bedding in the rooms is very comfortable. Quiet, with all the necessary comfort and well located, I don't understand why this hotel doesn't have more stars. Thank you for this exceptional stay! Not to be missed for anything in the world.Small note: breakfast is very varied and plentiful. It perfectly meets all desires
