This is the inn that made me fall in love with hot springs ever since I went there during my university days and enjoyed the fun of hot springs. You can also see the room where Yasunari Kawabata's Izu no Odoriko was written, and you can feel like an academic person ✏️The bath was also great, having an open-air bath right in front of the river! This is an inn I would definitely like to visit again 😆🙌

The open-air bath right next to the river is awesome.au mobile phone signal is weak and difficult to connect. There is wifi in the building, but it's useless. A solitary island on land for a day and a night. Dangerous environment including exchange rate trends.

A secret hot spring along the river. An inn for adults who want to spend a quiet time. You can also go to Joren Falls in about 10 minutes by car. The open-air bath with a sense of openness while listening to the sound of the river was the best!Since it is surrounded by nature, there are various insects, which is also very charming! When I went to the open-air bath at night, I saw a cute frog in the changing room, not moving at all, which made me feel nostalgic. The room had been renovated and was comfortable. The towel rack was too small and difficult to use.The overall taste of the meal was a little sweet, and while the grilled river fish was delicious, the sashimi was so disappointing that I thought it shouldn't have been served in the mountains. It would be nice to go all out and have a menu that is unique to the mountains.

This inn is known for being the regular lodging of the great writer Yasunari Kawabata, where he wrote ``The Dancer of Izu''.As you enter through the elegant entrance, you will see the steep staircase that appears in the novel.Professor Kawabata's writing room (apparently called Kawabata-san) has also been preserved as it was back then.Despite being an old building, the rooms are clean and well-maintained.The food is rich in variety, well seasoned and very satisfying. However, the pride of this place is the open-air bath. Feeling the flow of the river, the voices of the birds, and the sound of the wind makes me feel great.

Enjoy hot springs at Yumotokan, an inn run by the Japan Secret Hot Springs Preservation Association! !This week, we are touring Shizuoka's castles.Today, I decided to stay at Yumotokan, an inn run by the Association for the Protection of Japanese Secret Hot Springs in Izu.This inn is said to be the inn where Yasunari Kawabata wrote The Dancer of Izu.The rooms where Yasunari Kawabata wrote and stayed are preserved and can be viewed. After enjoying the hot springs and open-air baths, enjoy dinner.Dinner was delicious, including sweetfish, river fish, and vegetables. We had three types of sake: Amagi, Yumotokan, and Yoshitoki no Yume.
