This place is 5 stars as a cheap accommodation in Itoen, and 3 stars as a purely inn, but I would definitely recommend staying at one of the other Itoen resort brand facilities in Atami (New Fujiya, Ohnoya, etc.). I would like to have it. You'll be surprised at how much of a difference there is. Of course, Kinjokan stands out from other Itoen facilities. The first thing that surprised me the most was the Viking. It's a typical buffet of Itoen's commercial-grade ingredients, but the sausages are so greasy that you can eat one and it's not too bad. I wondered what on earth this was, and boiled it to remove as much fat as possible. The horse mackerel was grilled and the tandoori chicken had crispy skin. You can clearly feel the passion and high level of skill of the staff who want to serve any ingredient in its best condition. Even when it comes to food for commercial use, his professionalism and dedication to doing his best is simply precious. The shuttle bus driver not only cooks, but also talks and smiles, trying to make everyone's experience as safe and comfortable as possible. He makes eye contact with all the customers even in the crowded crowd, and is attentive and attentive. At Kinjo-kan, where the female staff at the dining venue never miss a beat, you can see the professional work that has been lost in today's world. If we were to live in a world where these kinds of people were treated and evaluated in a manner appropriate to their skills, Japan would soon recover. The garden is minimally maintained, and the building is decorated with fresh flowers, which is different from other Itoen facilities. The hot springs are also wonderful. It doesn't smell like chlorine like other Itoen resorts. Not brown and cloudy. The south building has hot spring water in the guest rooms. It is highly recommended because you can soak it in hot water for 24 hours. For those of you who think Itoen is nothing like this, please stay here. You will be surprised at how much things can change depending on the person.

There was a fireworks festival at sea in Atami, so I made reservations a long time in advance for that day and was looking forward to it. The rooms and facilities, including the bathroom, are a little old and need some maintenance, but considering the price, I think it's reasonable.Although it was the day of the fireworks festival, we moved the season slightly, so we were able to stay for 10,000 yen per person per night.I didn't have any meals, so I ate out and brought my own. There are many delicious restaurants outside, so you can be satisfied with eating out. There are both indoor and outdoor public baths, but you can't see the outside from the bath. However, I don't think it's too bad since there is a small garden-like garden. On the day of the fireworks festival, the rooftop is open to the public, and I think it's a great place to watch the fireworks from above. The only thing is that I made a reservation three months in advance and requested a room with a view of the fireworks, but they said they couldn't promise anything until the day of the event. If the room isn't available, they should be able to answer that it's not available, but the fact that they don't do that seems to mean that they are selectively assigning rooms to guests who have reservations until the day of the reservation. I want them to treat customers equally, rather than changing their treatment depending on the customer (if it were equality, it would be first come, first served). Or conversely, if there is a policy that says such rooms cannot be given to solo guests, I wish they would have made it clear. As a result, of course, I could barely see the fireworks from my room... much to my chagrin.

I could see the Atami Fireworks Festival clearly from my room. The food was delicious with a Japanese meal and free drinks.

I suddenly decided to look for a place to stay in Hakone, but the only rooms available were expensive hotels, and when I looked in Atami, there weren't any reasonably priced rooms, so I gave up, but the next day, only one room became available, so I booked it. . This plan does not allow you to choose the room. When I went there, I found that the south building was a building that looked like it was from the Showa era. Only the tatami was clean. However, the window can be opened completely and there are no measures to prevent it from falling, so if you look down, you can easily fall out. The exterior walls were in disrepair, and the rain gutters had rotted and fallen into the river below. The only amenities provided were a toothbrush and a comb in the sink. There is no ventilation fan in the toilet and the walls smell like urine. I was surprised to see that the hand washing method was the same as the one used at my grandma's when I was a child! There are no towel racks or hand paper. You can't stretch your legs in the indoor bath, so it's quite cramped. I'm 157cm tall and it's a bit cramped, so taller people might not be able to fit in.Telephones are still rotary dials. nostalgic. No notepad or pen.The food isn't bad, but it's delicious! There was no such feeling. I appreciate the unlimited alcohol. Delicious Junmai Ginjo sake available. All the staff at the cafeteria moved quickly and greeted each other properly.I heard that there were about 200 group guests that day, but they were in a separate room, so it was nice to be able to share them.It was a hassle to go to the public bath from the south building, so I didn't have the courage to walk through the lobby without makeup (lol). A little overtime. The front desk seemed to be staffed by just one person, so I had to wait a while for check-in and check-out... However, the staff were courteous. The elderly parking attendant was also very helpful.Recommended for those who want to feel the retro Showa era, and those who want all-you-can-eat dinner and breakfast + hot springs for around 12,000 yen per night.

Additional post (2024.10.1)I stayed there as early as January last year, and it's been 1 year and 8 months since I last stayed here. This time I used the 2-night plan, but I was told that I would arrive around 2pm, check in, and be able to enter the room around 3pm. .However, like last time, I didn't have to wait in line for about an hour to check in, and I was able to relax in the lobby for about an hour.My room is the Mochiron South Building, which is my favorite and I enjoyed it again this time.I've used 15 Itoen accommodations so far, and I think this is one of the best accommodations, ranking 1st or 2nd.Good bath, good room, good food, "Atami Kinjokan" is great (⌒∇⌒)Great cost performance! Highly recommended for solo travelers and families! !First post (some day in January 2023)This is just my personal opinion, but in the Showa era (around the 1960s to 1970s), going on a hot spring trip was a very luxurious thing for ordinary people, unlike it is now. People of the generation who don't know about that time will probably not be satisfied, but I feel that Itoen's customer base is mostly seniors from that era. (I'll turn a blind eye to how much?) You can stay there at a low price, and you can enjoy your favorite meals. Some rooms also have hot springs. Also, this may be Itoen Hotel Al Al, but I appreciate the line (from 1 hour) in front of the front desk at check-in (;^ω^)I will always be an Itoen fan. nice to meet you!

I went there by car, and the person in charge showed me the location of the parking lot in an easy-to-understand manner. They were very thorough in guiding me around the facility, and I think the customer service is not bad!The buffet on the top floor was also very delicious and the view was great! !The hot springs were also pleasant, but I was disappointed that there were people there who were supposed to be allowed to have tattoos.
