We stayed in the historic Sode Room designed by Seiho Takeuchi. I felt a sense of wonder that I was in a place where great literary figures such as Hakushu Kitahara and Junichiro Tanizaki, as well as people who left their names in history, stayed, and I enjoyed the stately atmosphere. In addition to the attentive hospitality of the landlady, the food, mainly Hida beef shabu-shabu, was wonderful, and the medicinal herbal bath soothed your daily fatigue, making it a memorable stay experience.

It's an old inn with a lot of history, so it's very quaint. The lack of a washbasin and toilet in the guest room is an inconvenience, but other than that it's a good accommodation. The food was delicious and the bath was pleasant. I would like the shabu shabu meat to be thinner.

I stayed in Sode no Ma. It's a very nice room. Although some of the facilities are old, the furniture and furnishings of the rooms are excellent. The view from the wide window was wide, and I could clearly see everything from Furo Pond below to the skyscrapers surrounding Nagoya Station.Inside the museum, we were shown the large hall on the second floor (which was open) and had our meal in the large hall on the first floor. These rooms also contained many wonderful calligraphy works by artists. The medicinal herbal bath had recently been built, so the equipment was new, and the bathtub was made of cypress and filled with hot water scented with medicinal herbs from Mt. Ibuki.I was also very satisfied with both the quantity and quality of both dinner and breakfast. The hostess and other staff members were very attentive, and both the cold tea (Gyokuro?) I received in the lobby when I checked in and the herbal tea I received after breakfast were both really delicious. We checked in at 3pm and checked out at 10am, and it felt like a wonderful experience to spend such a relaxing time in a place like this.

I visited when I was in Yoro Town for work.Anyway, good accommodation.I think it will be irresistible, especially for people who love history 🏯This Sukiya-style inn has been expanded over three generations during the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa periods, including the Chitosekaku of Gotake Nakabayashi, a great calligrapher of the Meiji period, as well as a Kara-ha style entrance and rooms designed by famous Japanese painters. is.The facilities are nice, but the food is irresistible🍴Many dishes using Hida beefI ate until I was full at every meal😭The Hida beef shabu-shabu dinner is absolutely delicious, including the dessert, udon, and rice! The wagyu beef stew for breakfast was also excellent. In 2014, it was certified as a registered tangible cultural property (building). If you want to have a special stay, please come and visit us 🏠

This is an old, quaint and quiet inn. When you enter the entrance, you will see a large old staircase in front of you, giving you a sense of the history of this inn. It is still in use today, and if you go up the stairs you will find a wonderful historic hall, and if you ask, they will let you take a photo. This inn is recommended for those who like old buildings. The reception will take place in the room to the right of the entrance, which has been renovated and is a beautiful, relaxing space decorated with local gourds. The room is relaxing without any unnecessary decorations. They prepared a slightly larger room for the two of us, so we could relax. For dinner, we had Hida beef shabu-shabu, which was very delicious. I was happy that you congratulated me on my birthday after the meal (^^) Thank you very much.I would love to see you again!

Absolutely gorgeous. Greeted with warmth from the innkeeper, staff, and the surroundings. What a dream to stay in a traditional style building on a beautiful mountain. The chance to wear yukatas and marvel in the architecture of a wraparound veranda to our tatami room was one of a kind. Hida beef shabu shabu dinner and traditional breakfast were also delights. There’s a wonderful bath that smells of fresh cypress. The kind innkeeper also offered to drive us back to the station and gave us umbrellas when we wanted to hike. The whole experience was so special and memorable, thank you.If you aren’t driving, would recommend packing a small overnight and forwarding your luggage from the previous location to your next location as the walk is uphill and they’ll have everything you need for one night.
