We had lunch of sea bream chazuke at a restaurant with a calm and retro atmosphere. The ohitsu comes with more rice than you can eat, and you'll have sea bream that has been aged for two weeks.First it was sashimi, then it was topped with quail eggs and sea bream miso for a pickled rice bowl, and finally it was sea bream chazuke with hot dashi. The dashimaki tamago was also freshly baked and warm and surprisingly delicious. I love tamagoyaki, so I often order it at soba restaurants, and it was definitely the best tamagoyaki I've ever had.I felt it was natural for Director Miyazaki to want to preserve this flavor and atmosphere. The price is a little high, but you won't regret it

Used for lunch. I ordered the sea bream rice set. Salt koji? The pickled sea bream had a concentrated flavor and was extremely delicious. Also, the interior of the store was beautiful. I arrived right when the store opened at 11am, and after about 30 minutes there was a wait. It's delicious, so it's worth lining up!

Used only for lunch.I don't think it can be helped that the prices are high because it's a very atmospheric building, so I don't think it's a store that's cheap and attracts a lot of people. I think the food is very healthy and good.

We had a delicious lunch at a restaurant with a calm, retro atmosphere. The rice that I thought I couldn't finish can be arranged in various ways with zucchini egg fried rice, sea bream chazuke, and sea bream miso, so the two of us ate it up.Other customers said that it felt like they were in a different place from reality, but I wonder if it's the overall atmosphere of Tomonoura that makes them feel that way. I also felt like I was drifting back and forth between the end of the Edo period, the Meiji era, and now. This is a store I would like to visit again.

When you go to the Tomonoura areaThis is the store I wanted to go to.Ryoma Sakamoto of the Irohamaru incidentA townhouse used as a place for negotiationsThis shop has a historical feel to it.It's still early if you go around 11 o'clock on a weekday.not openI went again around 11:30.The store is already almost full! !I was surprised.Table seats and tatami seats are full.We were shown to a counter seat. What a quaint store it is.The stained glass is also very nice.A moment to reminisce about history. One choice menu★Iroha Gozen 2200 yenI ordered this.A set meal with around 10 items in total. The main dish is sea bream with sake and kelp.Pickled sea bream aged for about 10 days.At first, you can eat it as is as sashimi. And to finish, pour the dashi soup.It was a set meal that could be eaten as sea bream chazuke.Arrived in about 15 minutes after ordering! !Even if you eat it as sashimi, the rice will still go well.Anyway, the soup stock is delicious. When eaten with sea bream chazukeIt was more delicious. The rice is glossy and has a nice texture.Sprinkle with sesame seeds and seaweedAdd misoIt was delicious and you could try it in many different ways.Payment was cash only.Thank you for the meal! !

Gofunajuku Iroha in FukuyamaLocal restaurant in Hiroshima..[Sea bream gozen]: 2,640 yen..A restaurant I visited for lunch when I went on a trip to Hiroshima in March 2023I went there because it looked like I could eat delicious local cuisine in the Tomonoura area..・Sea bream set mealPickled sea bream/Rice/Dashi soup/Dashi rolled egg/Quail egg/Tai miso/Chirimen sansho/Pickles/Vinegared food/Seasonal side dishes/Iroha Gozen consisting of sesame and seaweed with sea bream stewed in just the right sea bream Complete setThe sea bream pickles are from the Seto Inland Sea and are marinated in sake and kelp for over a week. There is an order to how to eat.1. First of all, as ``sashimi''.2. Topped with “Tai Miso”3. Top with quail eggs and make a ``pickled rice bowl.''4. Finish with "Tai Chazuke".It seemed like you were recommendingIt was very good because each way you eat it makes you feel the goodness of sea bream in a different way.The stew of sea bream that I greedily added this time was also very delicious with the sweet and salty sauce..The store is located in Tomonoura, Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture.A store located a few minutes walk from Tomonoura's tourist attraction called Joyato. The store appears to have been renovated from a building that had a history of being used by Ryoma Sakamoto as a venue for negotiations during the Iroha Maru Incident, and it seems that the building has a connection to Ghibli director Miyazaki. The inside of the store is quite spacious, with the feel of a Japanese inn that feels like it has been renovated.I feel like I can feel the history of each tourist spot, and I always think that these kinds of shops are my favorites. There are some meals that can only be enjoyed if you know the background, and I hope everyone reading this has had that experience as well.It was delicious, thank you for the meal (*´◒`*)

This is a shop that was introduced in Furu Cafe Kei Haru's Holiday. The story goes that when director Hayao Miyazaki visited on a trip, he helped design the renovation.
