I looked at the reviews and there weren't many bad reviews so I used them, but it was really the worst. I don't want to give even 1 star. First of all, the window glass was broken, and even though it was reinforced with duct tape, the door could not be locked and a draft was constantly coming in. It was so cold that I thought my throat would hurt if I turned on the heater, so I looked into the air conditioner and found it full of mold. When I used tissues, they were empty after 2 or 3 sheets. When I took the last tissue, it contained a dried cockroach. The floor also feels like you're walking on a cushion. When people on the upper floors walk, wood chips fall from above. The futon also has a lot of stains. When I tried to take a bath in the hot springs, I happened to be in the first bath, so I tried to take a shower to relax, but the shower hose was covered in mold. The edge of the bathroom after soaking in a hot spring? It's also full of mold. I got out of the hot spring in less than 5 minutes. It was a waste of time and money. There is a limit to the worst. I stayed at another business hotel. Looks like it's okay here? It's at a level where you should contact the public health center. It's amazing that we're still in business like this. If you want to improve it, please do so as soon as possible.

At the entrance of Sandankyo, a designated parkThis is one of the two inns.The facility is very oldThere was a strong musty smell in the room as well.The toilet is also shared (and clean).It cannot be evaluated in the sense of a general resort.The hot springs are also really small and have a strong smell.However, if you look at it for the purpose of climbing Sandankyo◎Location at the entrance*The nearest convenience store is about 15 minutes by car.◎You can park your car◎There is also a plan for staying overnight without meals.◎You can sweat in the hot springs◎The rice is delicious◎There are amenities provided.It will come in handy.Also, the response from the people at the hostel makes me feel calm and not too intimidated.For some reason, there's even an antique Famicom box, which gives it a really retro feel.There is also a mini book corner.I can't rate it in just one word 😆Also, as noted in advance, the WiFi is quite weak, so considering the location, let's not complain about that 👍

No refrigerator. There is a microwave oven. They will also lend you a pot. There are no vending machines around, so it's better to have juice and other drinks ready.Although it is a hot spring, the shower in the washing area is weak, so be careful.

This is my favorite inn. The rice here is really delicious! ! I want to go eat rice (lol) The food is so delicious. The hot springs are just the right temperature and will keep you warm. The rooms have an elegant atmosphere, and you can hear the sound of the river, making you feel calm. Also, the tap water is very delicious. Please try it out.

Card OK WiFiStayed in early spring 2023. The museum is filled with nostalgic items from the Showa era.I chose a room along the river and stayed there. Only the sink and toilet. We took a leisurely soak in the hot springs and had some food.Nature is right in front of you. There are really a lot of stink bugs in early spring, so...The starting point of the Sandankyo promenade is right in front of you, so it's a great location for a walk.It was also the low season, so the shops and cafeteria were closed, so we had a quiet time.It is very crowded during the tourist season, so we recommend visiting during the off-season.

Although it is a ryokan style hotel, I was able to relax thanks to the staff's sense of distance. Although the rice was plentiful, there were so many items that I could eat it without getting bored.The room had a quaint alcove and the toilet was clean.

The building really feels like a hot spring inn.After eating delicious food,Relaxing in a small hot spring,I went to bed listening to the sound of the mountain stream.Also, something worth mentioning is the water, I don't know the details, but it tasted really good.

An old inn.It feels nostalgic. I went there for training. It might be good for people who want to fully enjoy Sandankyo. I think there are people staying there for work.

Although it is a scenic spot, this hotel has an old-fashioned atmosphere and is located in front of it. The delicious food, the library with a wonderful collection of books, and the renovated hot springs where you can soak for a long time. The space where time flows slowly makes you forget the hassles of everyday life.I especially enjoyed the books in the library about the history of Sandankyo and the handbook of Shosoin's treasures.

If you want to stay in an environment close to nature, this is recommended.The public bath has been updated and is more comfortable than before.Due to the location, I don't recommend it for people who don't like insects, but I do recommend it for people who don't mind insects.Since the mountains and rivers are close, the temperature may be a little low.You can start walking around Sandankyo from 0 minutes on foot.

It's an old hotel, so the hallways are cold in the winter, but the food was delicious and made with local ingredients. There is a place where you can play an old Famicom computer, and you can feel the Showa era.It's clearly written in English, so I think it's recommended for foreign tourists.In the parking lot, there was a regular charger for electric cars (green elephant symbol).
