Good placeCheap 330 yenClose to the stationStaff are friendly and kindMaybe you can meet a deerAstronomical observation available (reservation required: 330 yen)There are toys for children to play withBad pointsLots of insects (summer)The facilities are old and some are broken.no showerIt's cheap and has convenient transportation, so it's suitable for beginners or family campers. It can be difficult in the summer. The overall impression is that of a campsite from the Showa era to the Heisei era.For stargazing, you will actually be able to see the stars yourself through a telescope, so it is better to apply.

The view of Lake Biwa is quite nice.I think kids will have a lot of fun with the big rope jungle gym, super long slide, climbing wall, and planetarium, although it's not that big.Camping seems to be cheap, so I'm planning to invite a family I know with children.Lake Biwa is a little far away, so if you want to enjoy lake bathing, you'll need to take some time to travel and manage your schedule.

比良げんき村 - Hira Genki-mura has a lot to offer but is an underused facility. So, there's never a crowd which makes it nice and peaceful. Excellent view of Lake Biwa. For the kids, Genki-mura has a giant rope climbing pyramid and a long roller slide amongst other playground equipment. There are places to play baseball, gate ball, tennis and there's even a large climbing wall. There's also a planetarium, camp sites, a craft center and various obstacle course fitness stations. Reservations are needed for some activities and camping but a fun time can definitely be had enjoying the facility without. It's just a short walk up the road from JR Kitakomatsu station but there's also plenty of parking for those who drive.
