Renewal from Kanpo no YadoIt was beautifulLocated on the shore of Lake Biwa with beautiful sceneryWhen checking in, there were two counters. One counter was staffed by a foreigner, so it took a while, and the other one had to wait a long time to explain the inside of the building and the members.I would like at least three people to respond.dinner was very deliciousIt's not a breakfast buffetThere was no large open-air bath, but I was able to take a comfortable bath. The staff at the shop were so nice that I couldn't help but buy some souvenirs.

The hotel is a renovated Kanpo Inn, so it's best not to expect too much.Dinner comes out too late and takes a long time. The taste is normal.I think tastes differ when it comes to breakfast. The large bath is so small that it could be called a small bath. The shop will close by 8pm.The rooms are new and clean.Lake Biwa spreads out in front of you, so the view is good. The parking lot is in front of the hotel and is spacious and easy to park.

The room had not been cleaned at all. When I went to fill up the view bath with hot water, I was surprised to find that there was a lot of short hair and other hair left under the door. At the front desk, a staff member came in to wipe it down, but even though there were more than 10 hairs and body hairs scattered around, the sloppy system of not inspecting it raises questions about hygiene. .I was very impressed with the functional and stylish design of the guest rooms. It was a new room with a view bath facing the lake, and the view was great.I can't say that the seating arrangement in the dining hall is very good. The seats were set up in the middle of the line of people's traffic, so it felt like you couldn't eat in peace. However, the people serving the meals were very attentive and had a kind demeanor. The people at the front desk were also dedicated to guiding overseas guests.I also felt that the cooperation between the staff was very good. There is a welcome drinkYou can see Lake Biwa beautifully from the lounge, and the floor plan is very good.

The hot springs were a bit lacking as there was no open-air bath, but it is a nice inn where you can enjoy the scenery of Lake Biwa and relax.A handsome 17-year-old boy played the Tsugaru shamisen and shakuhachi for entertainment, creating a peaceful atmosphere.

We stayed for 3 consecutive nights in late September. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations before staying there, but it was better than a luxury hotel. It was worth more than the price.⭐︎MealThank you for your consideration in changing the menu so that I wouldn't get bored with both dinner and breakfast. It was very delicious.Especially the breakfast was exquisite.⭐︎RoomReserve a room with a view of Lake Biwa from the bath. The view of Lake Biwa from the bath at night is also beautiful. It was spacious, clean, and very comfortable.⭐︎LocationFacing Lake Biwa, you can see Lake Biwa from every room. Takeijima is nearby, and Chikubujima can be seen in the distance. Above all, I was impressed by the sunset from my room. You can walk around Hikone Castle from the hotel. Hamagoten is next door. The pier for the boat going to Chikubu Island is also right there. At night, we took a walk along Lake Biwa near the hotel. There is a shuttle bus (reservation required) from Hikone Station.⭐︎ServiceAll the staff are kind and accurate.I felt safe because they would write me down the time and location of the meal.It was an inn that I would definitely want to visit again.

2 people stayed here on September 15, 2024 for a trip.Kamenoi Hotel Hikone is a three-star hotel located in Hikone City, Shiga Prefecture. It is popular as a hot spring hotel where all rooms have lake views overlooking Lake Biwa.About 10 minutes by car from JR Hikone Station. If you apply for the free shuttle bus the day before, we will pick you up at the east exit of JR Hikone Station. On your way back, you can take a free shuttle bus to the east exit of JR Hikone Station. The hotel has vending machines, shops, karaoke rooms, and shower rooms. There is also a welcome drink service at the guest lounge and a late night snack service of Dandan noodles. If you register as a friend on LINE, you will receive a coupon that can be used at the shop. Slippers, bath towels, towels, and toothbrushes are provided in each room. Other amenities and yukatas are prepared in a cabinet on the first floor, and each guest must take them to their room. When you think of Shiga Prefecture, you think of Omi beef! So, for dinner, I made a reservation for the ``Local Grace Kaiseki'' where you can choose your main course. The contents are as follows.◆Blessings of the Land Kaiseki (September to November 2024)[With tip] Matsutake mushrooms steamed in a clay pot[Appetizer] Six kinds of assortment[Ozuri] Sea bream, tuna, red shellfish, hairtail[Yaki] Grilled cod with leaves[Steamed food] Fig Rikyu Yose[Small pot] A5 rank Omi beef sukiyaki[Rice] A5 rank Omi beef minced mushroom rice[Tome bowl] Red clam soup from Lake Biwa[Scents] Assortment of three types[Dessert] Osmanthus almond tofuCold and tea are self-service. The steamed matsutake mushrooms in a clay pot, grilled cod porridge, sukiyaki Omi beef, and fig Rikyuyose were delicious. I was full from the satisfying food! The next day's breakfast was a Japanese meal with the theme of ``being kind to the body.''◆Japanese meal① Asahi - Hot egg, cherry tomatoes and tomato consommé② Wake up Fermented salad with flaxseed oil, cabbage, greens, mentaiko③Ashidori Yamato sweet potato, nori tsukudani, okra grated yam, natto④ Sea/Mountain/Field Sea bream kelp, onion, red onion, shellfish, sesame⑤ Encounters: shark fin, radish, blue flavor⑥ The real thrill: grilled salmon, grated whitebait⑦Sunbeams filtering through the leaves Chicken dumplings with black vinegar⑧Morning dew Hiryuto, raw wheat gluten, roasted green onion, shrimp⑨ White day yogurt, red konjac, brown sugar syrup, berriesKokonoe miso hotpot made with soybeans and rice from Shiga Prefecture. Lotus seeds, mandarin nuts, white wood ears, and lily roots.Omi rice Koshihikari picklesCold and hot tea, orange juice, and coffee are self-service. The Kokonoe miso hotpot made with soybeans and rice from Shiga Prefecture was especially delicious! The view from the room was a little disappointing as the view of Lake Biwa was not clearly visible due to the cloudy sky, but there were not too many guests and we were able to relax and enjoy the stay from beginning to end, including the hot springs. If I have a chance to stay in Hikone again, I would like to use it again.
