It's half way between the trainstop and the ropeway. The service is great here and it's basically right there after you get off the bus stop. You can book massage here which is so nice after a day of walking. The outside bath is nice -nothing fancy but nicely kept. Make sure to use washroom before going to the bath. You can also book private baths for 45min for about 30 bucks. The convenience store has milk in glass bottle that is delicious. The food is huge portions and very tasty. Definitely recommend and will come back!

We had a fantastic stay at Mount View Hakone, a real highlight of our trip. Aside from the delicious food and spacious, traditional ryoken rooms, the highlight for me was the private onsen; perfect temperature hot spring mineral water with views of bamboo woodland.

The temperature of the Nigori-yu hot spring is just right. It's a very satisfying hot spring.Take the bus bound for Togendai from Hakone Yumoto Station. Transportation is also convenient. The sound you hear when you set the bathtub down echoes throughout the bath, a true Japanese atmosphere. It was a great place to relax and soak in the luxurious white hot springs, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Ill be making this review relative to the price (about 150/night USD) so my few quibbles wont reflect what an incredible value this is. If you want the whole Yukata, tatami mat, ryokan, traditional japanese meal, onsen experience this is a damn good way to get it for relatively cheap. some things in the rooms are a tiny bit dated by japanese standards, but pretty usual by american standards. the meals are amazing, and come at a tiny upcharge from the room rate. all the guests are encouraged to wear the provided yukatas and slippers, so it all feels very authentic. the private onsens were cheap to reserve but honestly the public ones were so amazing i never felt the need. its the real deal mineral hot spring water piped into a stone basin, surrounded by moss covered rocks that make natural seats to cool off on, right in front of a bamboo grove. seriously magical, especially in rain/snow.

We booked a room with dinner and breakfast and it was the best decision of the entire trip. Dinner is so in-cre-i-ble that I learned to separate it into syllables.
