A True nightmare : GO AWAY10USD for a wood plank with a blanket twist two times for a mastressThe beds are crazy littleCrazy hot despite the ACOne shower dirty with nothing to hang your stuffNo toilet paper, everything is dirtyNo real towel : no drying you’re still wet afFree breakfast : a cup à insta coffee, one egg et two no toasted pieces of bread. And you will have breakfast if you manage to catch people who work there…. Nobody during the hour.I don’t understand how this “hostel” can have a good review on booking. And I finish with zero security : no key, no safe place to leave your stuff

Rather disappointing. The rooms are too small for 6 people. The beds are not comfortable, with very thing mattresses and very shaky when the person in the other bunk moves a bit. The shared bathrooms are basic, but not very bad, although they could have been more clean and toilet paper was almost always lacking. The staff is friendly and wants to be helpful (despite lack of English), but the service could improve. Breakfast was supposed to be included in my price, but my first morning this consisted only of a friend egg and a piece of white bread, and the second morning there was no staff present for more than 30 minutes, so I decided to leave without.

Well, it is livable there, but this is not the place you should go if you are looking for comfort. The beds are not very comfortable, but you het to sleep. The cleanliness of the place is just soso, but you manage to accept it for the cheap price you pay. The main good thing about this place is the location, it is within walkable distance of many of the main attractions, like the royal palace, the reclining buddha, the golden mound, the muay thai stationAlso close to the party area Khao San, without being noisy in around the hostel.

Unfortunately the place is not how it is shown in the photos or in the reservation. We have had a bad experience: the beds do not have a mattress! It is simply folded padding. On the other hand, the bathroom and showers were very dirty. Many times there was not even toilet paper. the good thing about the hostel: the location.

The rooms are really small for 6 beds, the staff is really friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are soso. Don't seem really clean but there is warm water!Got woken up in the middle of the night from a girl that claimed this was her bed. Maybe double booked, she wanted to figure it out herself and told me to stay in there 😂Checked out early again so can't say anything about the breakfast. Nice garden to chill and a really great location! Right next to everything but very quiet.

Beautiful Hostel to meet people and share good times, the location is great, 10 minutes walk from Kao Road, in a very quiet area full of food places, the central patio is a very good place to meet other travelers, it is created a very nice atmosphere, the wifi works perfectly, the beds are comfortable, the rooms have air conditioning, the owners are very attentive and friendly, I recommend it because the patio creates a very nice meeting place that I did not see in other hostels

I stayed there 4 nights and I had a wonderful time. Welcoming host, good price (around BHT200 for a night), Big garden to relax 😍, good location very close from Khaosan Road. The rooms are very comfy and as long as you are not sleeping on the top of the bunkbed, you will have curtains and more privacy.

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights. Amy, Yuan and Kim Kim were the loveliest and most wholesome hosts. We could spend hours talking with them! Always went above and beyond to help and advise us. The garden is a lovely quiet space to relax and unwind after a busy day of exploring Bangkok! The hostel was clean and has all the facilities you need including laundry service! We loved our stay at Skylark and we will definitely visit here again in the future! Thank you so much, Hayley:)

What can I say, Yuan, Amy and Kim Kim are the most amazing hosts. Everything was very clean and made us feel very welcome for our first trip to thailand. I'm not quite sure what the bad reviews are about, if you want luxury maybe don't book a hostel. But if you want good company and a bed to sleep in with staff that go above and beyond every time, then this is the place for you! We will be back another year! From luke and hayley :)

Garden is ok and quiet location, but thats it.The whole building is old and cheaply improvised. And then there is the most uncomfortable bed I've ever had. I usually like hard mattresses and have never had a problem with the hard beds in Asia. But here basicly a few thin blankets were laid on a wooden board. It was not a mattress at all. Squeezed maybe 1cm thick. Had to tuck in my hoodie and towel as otherwise I would have been in pain as a side sleeper. The beds were also very shaky and squeaky when moving and climbing. No sockets or shelves by the bed. No privacy curtains around the top bunks. (Lower beds have curtains and even mosquito nets! Not fair paying the same price)
