We loved staying here for our first time in Kyoto. Being able to walk to nearby attractions like Nishiki Market was very convenient. The hotel itself is quiet, clean and beautiful. We felt very comfortable here and would definitely consider this location for future visits, thank you!

We recently booked two apartments for a stay of several nights. We were allocated two basement apartments. Both presented clean, very well appointed and well located. Kyoto is a beautiful city. Unfortunately one of our rooms (B01) had a horrible, heavy smell of mould/damp even with both the humidifier and air conditioner running. The bathroom drain appeared to be blocked and was difficult to drain. We attempted to pass this detail on to the concierge on Monday evening (today), but unfortunately he didn't speak English (despite holding my nose and pointing downstairs), so I have had to resort to a post. A great hotel - but this room needs serious attention. We felt it not safe for the small child in our group to sleep in this apartment. Sauna/Spa is located next to this room which may also be contributing to the problem.

The kitchen was fully stocked with amenities. You can also rent a size 3 rice cooker for free. It was convenient to have a large colander, bowl, chopsticks, tongs, and a bowl, but it would have been even better to have kitchen paper. The knife was surprisingly sharp. Please note that there are no seasonings, including oil, so prepare them in advance. Also, as is common with all apartment-type hotels, there were no Japanese tableware such as tea bowls, soup bowls, teapots, or teacups.There are USB-A sockets for power near most outlets in each room, so I only needed a cable.The bath is spacious, with a chair and washbasin, and the shower can be switched to a rain shower.When we had to communicate a problem or request, we made a permanent video call to the front desk, and depending on the person responding, it was sometimes difficult to get the point across, but the local staff at the hotel who actually answered the call were very efficient and impressed. it was good.Check-in and check-out can all be done using your smartphone, so there is no waiting time.To put it simply, it's a hotel where you can spend your time freely, but to put it another way, it's a hotel where you are responsible for everything, so the evaluation may vary greatly depending on the person. If you prepare in advance, you can have a comfortable stay at a good price, so I think this hotel is a very comfortable hotel for people who are used to camping. Plans that do not allow cancellation but offer a 20% discount are also good. I would like to use other Minn in the future.

We were given a basement apartment. It was dark with only 1 window in the living room. There is no window in the bedroom, which is unsafe in the event of a fire. Smelled very musty as well. We refused the apartment. This was also an issue as there is nobody on site. We were accommodated at another location or pay $600 extra for another apartment in the building.Not pleased with the zero percent customer service at the location.Will not book with them again.Be aware that you may get the basement so be specific when booking that you want an upper floor.
