A charming place not too far from the Kenroukuen garden. Nice atmosphere. We arrived really early and received a very warm welcome from the staff. Everything was delish- the avocado salad, the cold tofu, the sashimi, nigiri sushi, grilled prawns…. Had a really enjoyable meal!! Highly recommended ….

Lucky to stay at the Inn and dine in the restaurant. The restaurant: Exquisite food prepared by their accomplished chef.. with friendly, professional service to match.The Inn: Comfy, small, well appointed rooms with shared facilities. Excellent location and a real feeling of sharing someone’s home.Highly recommend!

We didn't quite realize we were booking a popular destination for tourists and locals alike during Golden week weekend lol. As you can imagine the hotels were booked up like crazy. We found this place and booked immediately because it was in our price range at least.Overall this is a great place and I have no complaints at all. The first and foremost is--this is an Incredible location! A very short walk to the castle and famous gardens, there is a small garden area with a tea retreat inside, and a small scenic hike through the garden areas will take you to a slew of nightlife and eateries. It truly is one of the best locations I've ever seen in an affordable hotel.The staff are courteous and check in was quick and easy. Check out is even easier.The room itself is cute! We got the twin bed Japanese style room. The beds are fine nothing awful or great about them. The window is a lovely view too!Toilet and shower are shared but there aren't many rooms so I didn't have any traffic so to speak using any of it. Everything was clean.A 5-6 min walk away is one of the fanciest coin laundry 24 hr places I've ever been to. They even have a sneaker washer and dryer.While I am absolutely grateful and I love this place and would 100% stay here again I should mention this is above a sushi restaurant that stays open late. It's an Old building built in a traditional way. That means noise travels easily. If you are someone that sleeps Early and Very lightly and Cannot use ear plugs this might not be the best choice for you. I don't have that issue but it's worth mentioning.Also this place has narrow stairs. Not a bother for me but some might find it so. I don't travel heavy but if you have like 3 large suitcases for 2 people I don't know if the Japanese tatami room is the best choice for you.I recommend this place, but with those caveats and considerations.

Simple rooms in a traditional Japanese inn, with a restaurant on the ground floor.Excellent location and value for a stay in Kanazawa, with cafes, popular attractions, and bus lines (including the Kanazawa Loop bus), all just minutes away by foot.The restaurant was excellent too. I had the agedashi tofu and Atlantic roll, both of which were impressively done.The staff are friendly and responsive.If you stay at this inn, be aware you may hear the restaurant from the rooms. It is a restaurant after all. This did not bother me but if you are sensitive to sound, I recommend coming prepared with earplugs.Thank you for a wonderful accommodation!
