I used it for consecutive nights. It is perfect for those who are unfamiliar with sightseeing for the first time while carrying a carry case. When you exit the station, you can see Kyoto Tower in front of you, and you can go through Porta underground and exit from Exit 2 to get to the front of the hotel. You can also enter the Tower Hotel directly from the basement, so you don't have to worry about the scorching sun. , you can feel safe even in rainy weather.Higashi Honganji Temple is a 5 minute walk away, and Toji Temple and Sanjusangendo Temple are also about a 20 minute walk away.It was helpful that you could leave your luggage with us before check-in and after check-out.The breakfast buffet consisted of Western food on the first day, and Japanese food on the second day. The matcha warabi mochi, chirimen sansho, and pickled ohitashi were all delicious, and the Japanese grilled fish changed daily, giving me a sense of the careful attention to detail. There are discount tickets for the tower, and you can get a panoramic view of Kyoto from the higher floors.

The room we book for 8 pax is spacious. The service of the crew is good. The location is superb as yodobashi and lopia just next to the tower. There are lots of convenient shops nearby. The buffet breakfast is great too. The only hiccup is the receptionist was set at 8th floor, but booking website does not mention clearly, and we had spent some times on searching it.

Go underground to Kyoto Station, pass through Porta, and take the elevator from the food court in the basement of Kyoto Tower to the hotel reception on the 8th floor.Yamato cardboard boxes are available at the front desk for luggage shipped from the hotel. The cardboard boxes were 100 and 120 sizes and cost the same price of 250 yen. The room was clean, a good size, and comfortable.I was worried that it would be noisy since it's in front of Kyoto Station, but it was quieter than I expected and I slept soundly. One thing: The shower curtain in the bathroom had a smell, which bothered me when I used the toilet and washroom. There is a souvenir shop on the 1st floor, including Kyorayu Furikake, Cha no Ka, and Tsujiri where you can eat-in.It was easier than the store at the station, so I was able to take my time and choose. The food court in the basement of Kyoto Tower has international cuisine and cafes, and is open until 11pm, and is conveniently accessible by elevator from the hotel.A popular restaurant in Porta, Ami Ajiko, was also located right next to the basement. It was very convenient and I was more than satisfied with the price, so I would like to stay there again.

I stayed here because I wanted to stay there once as a reward trip for my company. The location was great, opposite Kyoto Station and close to a bus stop that is convenient for sightseeing. The young staff made the check-in process go smoothly. The room is just the right size, not too big and not too small. I also like that check-in is late at 11am. This hotel is recommended for sightseeing in Kyoto. I received a discount ticket for Kyoto Tower when I stayed there. The view at night was amazing! I would definitely use it again.

It was ok to stay here. The price was very good, so I am willing to overlook the downsides. My room smelled like sewage, even though all lids in the bathroom were always closed and the bathroom itself did not smell. This bad odor was giving me an unpleasant sleep, but not unpleasant enough to ask for a different room (I didn't want to move all stuff again, I just needed sleep). The room where my friend stayed did not have this problem. The coin washers are modern, but payment only works on a website where you need to enter your credit card, so coins can't be used. And they charge 500 yen for washing and 500 yen for an hour of drying, that is quite high. I had to enter my credit card two times, it was not as convenient as just paying with coins and the washing machine stays unlocked (no pincode etc.). I prefer a simpler cash-based system elsewhere. The location is close to the train station. Probably as good as it gets. For that cheap price, it is acceptable.
