The ryokan is in the middle of ginzen onsen, very traditional and cozy, the building is very beautiful in the traditional japanese way, which makes it a great photo spot. the staff here are all very friendly and helpful, while they might not be fluent in any foreign language, but they always try their best. i do feel that knowing japanese did make my stay much more comfortable and pleasant.the dinner and breakfast was served in a common room, and both meals are so beautifully presented and so delicious, each dish are thoughtfully crafted, it's just so enjoyable and yummy, and it's definitely one of my favorite part of staying in a ryokan.the onsen is also awesome, you get private rooms to use within your group, and everything is clean and the water is just so comfortable and soothing, i absolutely love it.it was definitely a memorable stay and i would love to visit again in the future and definitely highly recommended to all onsen/ryokan lovers.

This ryokan locate in the middle of Ginzan Onsen. Very convenient to walk around and take picture. Unfortunately, when we arrived there was snow storm and the weather was quite bad, cold and windy. Anyway the ryokan is very nice though not new. The staff are nice and friendly particular those who picked us at parking lot. The room is nice but locate on the 3rd floor and not so large for 4 people though iylt have a very nice view outside. The onsen is quite good especially the privaye ones. Dinner and breakfast is nice and delicious. However, the ryokan is quite difficult to make reservation and the price is not cheap though. Overall, we are happy and lucky to stay here.

My visit was part of a 3-month study tour to understand Japanese's way of carrying out environmental management. This is one of the place that I was told to visit. Its your typical simple "town". Yes, the foot-bath, meals and onsen were great too. But what made the visit special, and thus Japanese's way of inculcating a sense of appreciation for the one's surrounding, was the services. Who would have guessed that you get a toiletries set when you stay a night here. Doesn't this say a lot? I'll revisit the place again one day with the family.

Love the service and the food. However, the wooden flooring was an issue for a light sleeper like me. I was waken up by my sister who stayed next room in the middle of the night
