It's a retro hot spring in a quaint place with glass doors from the Taisho era ♨️ Ume no Yu is also nearby so I recommend it.If you go there thinking it's a normal hotel, you might be confused because there are shared toilets and baths, but it's quite nice ❣️❣️❣️Accessories and recycled items at the entrance ♻️ It was fun to look through the clothes too ❤️

Although it is an old building, it is well-maintained and is a comfortable and relaxing inn.

I had the worst experience. It's a place I don't want to be involved with ever again, but I'm posting this as a warning to prevent more people from getting hurt.▼As an inn▼・There is no key in the room・Staff enters the room you are using without permission- Not observing meal serving times・No amenities at all・Toilets are shared by men and women・Staff yells loudlyHonestly, it's not a place where you can stay with peace of mind. There is no point in using it unless you are interested in old buildings and history.Considering the above, the price is quite high, so I cannot recommend it to those looking for regular accommodation.▼About operation▼I helped run the company as a temporary staff member, but after being made to work longer than expected, I received an unreasonable reprimand that simply caused me pain. There is still no response to the written opinion submitted later. (Several months ago)The place itself is historic and wonderful, so it's a shame that it was lost because of the people involved.

A place like a lodging house for believers in areas where there are many Shinshu beliefs. It is now located in a prime location of tourist attractions comparable to those in Europe such as London, Paris, and Rome. However, it seems that facilities like this are not very rare. This is another good thing about Kyoto. Is it so-called "only those in the know"?It seems that it has been renovated over the past few years with donations from believers and users, but the room layout, which resembles the tatami room and Buddhist altar room of my hometown, and the tea room where I eat breakfast, has a cool, nostalgic feel that is hard to describe. The guest room with sliding doors surrounding the small garden is also a country-style tatami room. It can't be helped that some people are confused by the lack of safety. The bath and toilet also resemble those of a farmhouse, but they are neatly designed. The caretaker seems to change, sometimes a married couple living far away, or someone related to a nearby temple. It's interesting to talk about things like how they don't accept foreigners, and how they went out of their way to buy rice for their own stay because they didn't have a lot of customers. It is not suitable for those who are looking for the functionality and convenience of a hotel, but it may be suitable for those who do not feel uncomfortable with the traditional Japanese living environment. There is a large, reasonably priced parking lot in front of the station, right in front of Higashi Honganji Temple, and the location couldn't be better.

It is located directly east of the main temple Higashi Honganji. Just north of Kyoto Station. A retro inn from the Taisho and Showa eras, with Kyoto townhouses spread out on the east side of the inn, allowing you to fully enjoy the atmosphere of Kyoto. It's a floor plan that makes you feel nostalgic 🤩
