I nice independent hotel with an excellent location within walking distance to the station and in the middle of Kyoto. The room is decent sized. You share a toilet and the shower/bath and a fridge. There is also a shared microwave on the second floor.The staff is very friendly and speak some English. You'll get all the instructions in English in a laminated paper as well.Very good value for money for a solo traveller. Wouldn't probably bring a family here.

The location is amazing! And for 1, 2 nights it's the perfect place. For longer time... is quite hard as you hear everything thru the door! The sinks and small kitchen are in the hallway and this makes it a bit hard so the sleeping time is decided from the other guests...

A Japanese-style inn, where the true essence of sleeping in a futon can be experienced here. A stone's throw from Kyoto station and there are places to eat nearby.

The check-in was originally at 3pm, but I felt unwell in the morning and wanted to take a break, so they let me go to my room early. The receptionist was kind and very helpful. Recommended for students and others as you can be satisfied with the price! !

The location is great at just a 10 min walk from the Kyoto train station and in a <30-45 min walking/public transport distance to all of the main sightseeing spots in kyoto. The rooms are relatively clean. Shared bathrooms + showers are okay but the showers not being available after 11pm and before 7am removes some flexibility especially since some of the sightseeing in Kyoto you probably want to get there early (fushimi inari/bamboo forest). The pillows were horrendous, probably can’t even be classified as pillows, they felt like sleeping on a bag of rice (literally). Overall would not recommend it but if you looking for a short cheap stay 🤷♂️. You’ve been warned about the pillows though.

It was not bad for the price. Owner is welcoming. Location is decent.However wifi was very weak. You can hear everything in the hallway so it was hard to sleep. The reservation never mentioned payment onsite is cash only and you have to pay taxes. Would not stay here again.

Great deal for price. Clean. Friendly owners. Laundry on site. Walk in location to major attractions. Would recommend. Walk location to train station. Great locations. Spacious rooms. Wi fi available. Air conditioning works great. Room nice and cold.

The great thing about this hostel is: you have your room to yourself, great bed, it's not a bit of luxury at all... I have that at home, but it's ok for 3 nights, I wouldn't stay in the hostel for longer, but that Owner was very, very friendly, and that's a big plus. Thanks again....
