A lovely slow down from the business of the city. This is the place for calm reflection and a glimpse of the past with a futon and tatami mat floors.

I highly recommend this hotel. Absolutely fantastic. The staff is helpful, the rooms are traditional, it's got a cozy feeling while remaining very modern in the bathrooma. There is no TV but considering I'm on vacation it's not needed. I would come back to Kyoto just to stay here again.

What a great experience, the people there are so lovely.Great location close to metro and bus stop, super elegant rooms that always smell like a dream, and amazing staff that pay attention to details to make sure you have a great stay.Can’t recommend enough if you are looking for a ryokan to add to your Japan experience, which you definitely should!

It was an amazing experience staying at Yado Kiramachi. For a westerner, it felt like a truly authentic experience of a traditional Japanese style house. Our host was welcoming, thoughtful and respectful, we didn't see her much after our arrival, but there would be little thoughtful touches around the accommodation to let us know she was taking care of us. The private outside onsen was brilliant. The lighting throughout the place was carefully placed to create a soft, warming atmosphere inside and out. It was a lovely place to return to after a busy day around Kyoto. Truly loved our experience here and would recommend it to anyone.

Stunning place, exquisite rooms. Great sleep, very quiet location and comfortable beds. Very nice decoration, friendly staff. Our family rooms with terrace had their own exterior wooden bath tubs and showers, with cute bamboo garden. We could enjoy the music from Gion Matsuri from the comfort of our terrace. Absolutely perfect.

Beautiful, traditional yet modern Ryokan. The room with the private outside bath was great and comfortable. The lady there (not sure if she's the owner or the manger) was very kind with us. The position is also very convenient. Definitely recommended.

We had a fantastic stay here. The manager and staff were very attentive to our needs, always available, and gave us a very warm welcome. They were also happy to receive our suitcases sent from Tokyo, which was a great help and convenience for us. We loved the calm, serene and authentic atmosphere of Kiramachi village. The rooms are decorated tastefully in the Japanese tradition, and we felt like we were in a timeless bubble. The futon beds were also very comfortable. Located in a quiet alleyway in a lively district, Kiramachi Village is well situated, close to the bus and metro network: an ideal base for visiting Kyoto. We would definitely recommend staying at Kiramachi Village.

This is the most memorable stay we had on our honeymoon in Japan! We loved the quiet serene atmosphere of the village. It feels like we are back in the older era of Japan. It is a nice respite from the busy streets of Kyoto. There is no tv so you can really soak in the history. The bathrooms are very modern to make our stay comfortable.The futon beds we were worried will hurt our backs but we slept amazing with zero back pain! The kimonos they provided were so soft and comfortable. We commented on how much we loved them and wanted to purchase them but the manager surprised us with a gift of two kimonos!They also shipped our luggage to the next hotel free of charge.Please do yourselves a favor and stay here. 10/10 hotel we will stay here again!One caution is that the stairs are very narrow and steep so if you have mobility issues I would not stay here.

Best experience we have for the whole trip, it feels like a little quiet hidden gem off from the busy business district||Best recommended if you are going for Honeymoon or couples trip.||Great bath tub although it is a little small but is good for 2 person and a great experience if you like Japanese tradition style and decor.

Beautiful rooms and house in very elegant Japanese style. Out 3-person room had 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms. Very comfortable futon beds. Wonderful, very responsive host. Very conveniently located.

I honestly can't give a hugher review. The staff were the most caring and the attention to detail in these STUNNING rooms was incredible - a real 5 star Ryokan experience. The private warm onsen was amazing also. The bar owned by the hotel across the way was beautiful too - also any question or request we had was met with sound advice & warmth. They also gave us little welcome gifts to add a personal touch. The also come in to replace your towels, give you breakfast & clean your little house every day! Wow wow wow! Well done VK!

It's new and the building is fancy.The male staff member seemed arrogant in every word he said.Is your customer base high quality? Are you under the mistaken impression that you have grown up?Also, the stairs are too steep and very dangerous.The HP UI is also completely useless.
