The room was dirty, with obvious stains on the sofa and carpet.Self-service check-in has a complicated process (filling in a lot of information, taking and uploading photos, activating local tax payment online, and having a video call with the staff), which wastes a lot of time. There is no cleaning service, not even garbage collection. Even if we stayed for 4 days, we still had to take the garbage out of the room every day.

I made a reservation on the reservation site. I made a reservation 2 months in advance, but as my travel date approached, the hotel suddenly asked me to cancel. ``The price was incorrect due to a system error.'' As an apology, I'll give you a 30% discount coupon. If this story is true, the hotel would be able to make money by canceling early bird reservations when a last-minute guest arrives who wants to stay at a higher rate. I lost all my trust, so I canceled it anyway, but my plans were all messed up. I will no longer use the ground base group. There's no point in making a reservation.

I recently stayed at the GRAND BASE HAKATA-I hotel and I would like to share my experience.Firstly, I am disappointed with the location of this hotel. It is not convenient for foreign tourists and lacks tourist facilities around it. Furthermore, the service at the hotel was very unacceptable during my stay. I was unable to contact any staff either via contact number or email. This left me very confused and dissatisfied. On the day I checked in, the hotel did not provide a check-in code. It was not until I contacted Agoda that they sent someone to open the door for us. However, the attitude of the employee who opened the door was very bad. We waited in front of the hotel for an hour in heavy wind and rain, and he completely ignored us. It wasn't until we responded to Agoda that he coldly directed us to self check-in and offered no other assistance. The condition of our room was also disappointing. There were large stains on the sofa and carpet, and what looked like blood stains on the bedding in the room. Poor hygiene and made me feel very uncomfortable. In addition, the facilities provided by the hotel are quite inadequate. They only provided two rolls of toilet paper and a box of Kleenex, and no replacement towels. Considering that our reservation was for 6 days and 5 nights, with a total of 6 people, this supply was obviously not enough. Finally, we are very disappointed with the service of this hotel, they deceive travelers and give no account of the facilities and services they provide.Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay at the GRAND BASE HAKATA hotel. I would advise other travelers to think carefully when choosing accommodation and look for other better options. Hope this review will help them improve their service.

Hakata Port is a 10-minute walk away and Canal City is a 25-minute walk away. It's very close to the Nakasu River and it's a residential area so it's very quiet. There isn't a speck of dust on the window frames and there is a bathroom in the bathroom.I just washed the towel, dried it the night before, and went to sleep, so it wasn't uncomfortable at all. The water pressure was so strong that it stung my skin.I 100% intend to visit again next time.If you call from a local phone, they will respond right away. When going to Marine World, it was very convenient to walk to Hakata Port, and there are three convenience stores nearby, as well as Family Mart and Lawson.7-Eleven. 7-Eleven is just 3 minutes away. They don't do any cleaning, but you can clean the carpet with the roller you brought with you, and if you spray the Febreze carpet you brought with you, you'll be comfortable every day.

It's close to Hakata Port and the facilities are very clean.Instead, it's unmanned, so there are too many inconveniences, and I don't think I'll ever make a reservation again... Because it's unmanned, there's no response at all, there's no storage for luggage, which is the most important item for travelers, and towels are only provided once, so you can wash them in the washing machine indoors without additional towels. If you stay for consecutive nights, Need to fix the towels. There is no place to dry the clothes, so when you dry them after washing, the smell of rotten clothes comes out, but the manager replies that there is nothing they can do because it is unmanned. It is a very comfortable and cost-effective hotel for locals, but it is very inconvenient for travelers as there is no luggage storage and towels must be washed before use. Moreover, it is unmanned, but the check-in deadline is 22:00, so there is no advantage to being unmanned at all.Check-in is not processed right away due to an error in the unmanned machine, and it is inconvenient to have to make separate calls for various inquiries.Recommended for one night or light travelers without luggage. This is a good hotel for Japanese people, but the worst hotel for foreigners.Since there is no phone connection to the manager and no counter to request amenities, it is actually a good place for short-term guests without luggage or Japanese locals to stay for a while. There is no luggage storage service or any staff response, and it is a place where communication is absolutely impossible, so you have to just sleep for a day or so. In No. 102, the upper part of the insect screen window frame is defective, allowing insects to enter. There is no manager, so you cannot request repairs. When using No. 102, be careful of clearance at the top of the insect screen.

If I had known it was an unmanned hotel, I wouldn't have made a reservation. It was inconvenient because there was no one to greet you, and the distance from the downtown area was too far, so it wasn't a good place to travel.
