The location is good as it is just a short walk from the center of Dotonbori. We were on the 4th floor and it wasn't that noisy.Instead, the room was very humid, especially the blanket. When I touch the blanket, it feels very damp...The air conditioner couldn't cover it haha. The staff were very friendly. And the bathroom attached to the room didn't have warm water...it just came out lukewarm. The main bath has good hot water. The water pressure was weak whether in the room or the main bath.Oh, the towel smelled sour.,..,.

A delightful ryokan stay with a beautiful view of Dotonbori. The owner was incredibly friendly and informative, making us feel right at home. The ryokan was exceptionally clean, and the free water provided was a nice touch. To top it off, there’s an onsen on the top floor, which added to the relaxing experience. This stay exceeded our expectations in every way—highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic stay in Osaka.

Ryokan located in the center of Osaka, about 10 minutes walk from the metro but in the middle of the liveliest streets. The people at the reception are very gruff and don't speak much English, but they are the only flaw in an otherwise perfect accommodation. The rooms are spacious, the futons are very comfortable and you can also find Yukatas in the wardrobes. Our room also had a second room where you could eat/drink tea with a river view. Even the bathrooms (segregated by gender) are very clean and allow you to relax without even having to leave the hotel.

Great location on a tourist street, so it could be a little noisy during the evenings outside.Service is exceptional, and everything you need is in the room. The staff is very friendly!Be aware the front desk works until 1 AM.There are a lot of great places, such as bars and shops close to the hotel. You can get to most tourist places in Osaka such as the oceanarium and Osaka Castle in around 40 minutes by subway. There are western and Japanese style rooms and private baths you can use.Overall, a great place to stay during your trip to Osaka.

It was our first family trip to Japan and we thought a ryokan would be a good place to stay. Accessibility is good to the east of Dotonbori, but if you are sensitive, be careful of outside noise. The good thing about it is that it has an old, classic feel. And it was great to be able to relieve the fatigue of the trip in the large public bathhouse on the 6th floor.Should I say that it is a unique smell of tatami... I was a bit bothered by the unique smell that came out when I opened the room door. I think people who like a classic feel will like it.

Not a good experience. To be honest, the location is good, the room is just okay, the service is… we were told must pay cash for “city tax” and luggage fees. We don’t have enough cash, actually only need 200 yen more. They still asked us to withdraw this 200 yen( 2 dollars). Before 5 pm the luggage is free, we picked up our luggage around 6 pm. We were okay to pay 1000 yen, but don’t understand that they refused to waive 200 yen and asked us to find a place to withdraw the cash for them? Luckily we have some US dollars. It took 1.5 hours to find a money exchange machine. Osaka is our last stop, so we don’t have and we shouldn’t have too many cash with us, don’t know why we can’t pay with card? In addition, they don’t allow us to open our luggage in the lobby. If you have few more items need to put in your luggage, don’t expect you can do that until you arrived airport. The hotel doesn’t allow you to repackage your luggage in the lobby. Rules are very strict and not friendly

Beautiful Ryoukan! Super central location (you're practically in Dotonbori), very spacious room, with tatami and private veranda overlooking the river. Yukata available in the rooms and tea with biscuits every day. Truly recommended!

I visited Osaka again after 20 years and found an accommodation that I really liked.I was very satisfied with being able to use the well-maintained large public bath on the 6th floor to my heart's content. ^^
