Umesakitei in Takezaki, Saga Prefecture is a long-established inn where you can enjoy seafood from the Ariake Sea. Its appeal lies in the freshness of its ingredients. Takezaki is a fishing town facing the Ariake Sea, and there is a farm for oysters, prawns, etc. right next to Umesakitei. Among them, the crab dishes at Umesaki-tei are exquisite. Takezaki crab is a type of blue crab with sweet flesh and rich crab miso. Male crabs are in season in the summer, and female crabs are in season in the winter, so you can enjoy them deliciously throughout the year. I had a course meal with crab as the main dish. In addition to crab dishes, you can also enjoy dishes made with plenty of seafood from the Ariake Sea, such as oysters and prawns. Umesakitei also has a hot spring called "Kani no Yu". The hot spring water flowing directly from the source will soothe your tired body.

This is the best hotel if you enjoy fish dishes.Fresh seafood comes out one after another.Dinner started with two bowls of Takezaki crab, followed by a platter of fresh sashimi, and a dance of tiger prawns, all of which were very delicious. The grilled turban shells and steamed oysters were also delicious. The fried crab leg tempura and warm Takezaki crab steamed egg custard were also delicious. There was also sea cucumber and boiled octopus, and the last dish was crab porridge. The breakfast was small in quantity, but it also included Takezaki crab miso soup. The hotel is old so the rooms are decent. The bath was nice, but it was a shame that the open-air bath was closed.Takezaki is a great place to enjoy crabs and fresh seafood.

Dinner included two bowls of Takezaki crab, steamed oysters, grilled turban shells, sashimi, chawanmushi, and other small side dishes. However, there is no other service as the food is just placed there and you are asked to eat as you like, so it feels like they will come if you call. There is a parking lot outside the room, so there is no view. The bath, which is one of the pleasures of a hot spring inn, was disappointing.① There is only one bathtub, and it is too hot, but the water supply is disabled.②The windows are locked so you can't open them, so it's like a steam bath.③There is no hot water in the open-air bath, and the door to the open-air bath cannot be opened in the first place.④There is also sauna equipment, but it is closed due to coronavirus prevention reasons.I wanted to relax in the bath, but due to the reasons mentioned above, I came out in a short time.Other than that, it's a normal inn. The only advantage is that you can eat a lot of Takezaki crab.
