It felt great to see Lake Towada right in front of me. Convenient because you can park your car next to it. I think the overnight stay is cheaper compared to other campgrounds. There is a repeater.

A really nice and well maintained campground. There are hot shower (3min=100yen), laundry machines and dryers, and WiFi at most of the camp sites. Also there are sheltered outside kitchen and barbecue areas. We paid 830yen for two persons , one tent and travelling on bicycle. Prices may vary due to your means of transportation. It is advised to make a reservation on their website beforehand .

There was free site soil and some loose rocks, but there was no problem with the cot, but the attached pegs may be weak.We were able to get a site overlooking Lake Towada, and the scenery was great, and we canoeed at this campsite. When we joined the tour, we were the only ones, probably because it was a morning tour, and the guide was very nice, so we were very satisfied with the canoe. Thank you very much Yusaku.

I used it for one night on September 9, 2024.The toilets were clean, and there were kitchens scattered around, so it was easy to use.The soil at the free site is hard, and the pegs that come with the tent may bend. It's also hard, so I'd like a hammer to down the peg.The base is gravel, so it can be a bit painful if you don't choose the right spot, and there aren't many flat spots, so you may need to consider the orientation when setting up.Also, since it is gravel, I had to be careful when entering on a motorcycle.Still, Lake Towada was beautiful in the morning mist.

Best campsite location. Most of the people on the free site were canoeists or SUP riders, and they enjoyed the lake in front of them whenever and however they wanted. Is the water shallow? The children also enjoyed swimming. (Life jackets are required!)We stayed in a cottage, and it was very nice with large windows, but the toilet and kitchen areas were small, and the two-story bed was difficult to climb (although it would have been easier if the ladder had a slight slope...). The disappointing part too.We have a rice cooker, pot, refrigerator, and tableware, and this is a former camper's home, so there are no inconveniences. The view is amazing while walking!I also enjoyed Lake Towada, a walk along the Oirase Stream, and Tsuta Onsen.

I reserved the AC site and used it with my wife, and although it was very cheap, it was quiet and comfortable. After sweating in the public bath at Lake Towada Onsen, in the evening we had locally bought seafood BBQ, grilled oysters with green onions, and beer with Takekimi! On a cold, fall-like night at a high altitude, I fell asleep to the sound of owls and a full belly of beer (lol). The next morning, I grilled focaccia and chicken wings over charcoal, and had vegetable soup, coffee, yogurt, and fresh oranges! Canoeing for the first time in a while and taking a walk on the mirror-calm Lake Towada early in the morning. I have already made some great summer memories.

I cycled here from Towada, and even though my booking was on the wrong day, the staff allowed me to stay. There are many great spots, although most near the shore are on gravel. I don't speak much Japanese, but one of the staff spoke excellent English. They also had many camping items for sale, including food, coffee and cooking supplies. The staff told me which onsen I could use, as someone with a large tattoo. The other guests were all considerate. The toilets were clean.
