The Michinoku Shiokaze Trail is now open from Hachinohe to Soma, but it is inconvenient as there are only a few campsites available.I think it would become even more attractive if campgrounds were set up every 20 to 25 km so that it was possible to continue walking along the entire route in comfort. It may be possible to attract people from all over the world, like Spain's La Composteña and Shikoku's pilgrimage route.I have high hopes for each local government.

I went in August. After registering at the information center along the road, you will unload your vehicle at the parking lot near the railroad crossing. There is no particular path, and you will be transported around the hilly area, which is entirely covered with natural grass, in a rented cart.Since there is basically no flat ground, the further you travel, the more tired you will become. It's next door to a tourist area, so you can't pitch a tent, but it feels very open, and if the weather is nice, I think you'll be able to camp comfortably. As mentioned above, it is also a national park-like area with natural grass, so a bonfire stand and fire mat are essential when starting a bonfire.

A camping site by the sea where one tent costs 500 yen. You can also rent a trailer, so transportation is easy.

Thank you for helping me with my solo camping touring. The best location in the national park, with a lawn right in front of the sea.Reception is available at the Tanesashi Coast Information Center, and a reasonable 500 yen per night for a solo tent. The man at the reception desk at the center was kind and helpful, and he gave us a pamphlet to guide us through the Hachinohe Sanja Festival. The parking lot 50 meters from the information center is gravel, and both cars and motorcycles can be parked here. There is a free rear car, which is useful for transporting luggage, but there is a slope to the campsite and the return trip is difficult. The toilets and kitchen are clean.Bonfire sheet Arepa bonfire OK!It takes about 15 minutes to go to a supermarket in Hachinohe city for shopping, and the view while driving along the sea is also great! On this day, the weather was nice and calm, and while listening to the sound of the waves, the sky was full of stars at night, and the sunrise the next day was truly amazing. This is a recommended campsite.

Really pleasant campsite, clean toilets and kitchen facilities. You go to the visitor centre across the road to pay, it was 500¥ for a small tent which was very cheap. Staff at the centre were helpful and spoke good English.Nice view of the sea and immaculate green lawn, huge amount of space to choose from.Only improvement would be a shower (even cold water!), otherwise great.

We are staff at the Tanesashi Campsite reception office, ``Tanesashi Coast Information Center.''The map states that "pets are allowed," but the information is incorrect. Please note that pets are not allowed.
