2024 revisit:I visit it every year, but is the movement to reduce costs even faster? There is a noticeable decline in service.Even the spectacular location of Nagasaki at night seemed to be fading as the number of electricity outlets decreased.Daytime, dusk and night views.Previous posts:The impression was completely different from when I visited a year ago.In particular, I feel that the quality of the food has dropped considerably. Business may be tough due to the coronavirus pandemic, but is it the right thing to do to reduce the quality of service? I have doubts. It was one of my favorite facilities in Oedo Onsen, but it seems to have fallen to the same level as other facilities. In addition, I was informed that there would be a time when I would not be able to take a bath because there would be students on a school trip just before the trip. It was disappointing in many ways.

This hotel has a beautiful view. The outdoor Onsen was awesome as well. The public areas are nice and clean and are updated to give you that Onsen vibe. The room, the upper floors/hallways to the rooms are very tired and appeared to be decorated in the 70’s. We had a Japanese style room, it was clean, but again very tired and old. One of the chairs had a hole in the fabric. The faucet in the shower room is so old that it had a pin hole leak in it. Again, probably from the 70’s. There is no lounge area that serves drinks, there is a store inside the lobby that you can buy water, soft drinks, beer, and snacks. You receive one towel in the room that is to be used for the Onsen and when you bathe in the room. They give you a robe for the Onsen, there is not a way to tie it around your waist. The restaurant is tightly controlled, and you are allowed to drink alcoholic beverages that are included in your drink plan… if you purchased it for one hour with dinner. The staff, very nice and accommodating. With the availability of WiFi these days, I was very surprised that it is only available on the 3rd floor. I probably would not return or recommend this Onsen/Hotel because even some basic amenities were very sparse or not available at all.

This stay was a great experience. There was a hotel staff member who touched me very much: We arrived at the hotel in the afternoon and it was raining heavily outside. This staff member called a taxi for us. Because the capacity was insufficient, he even took us to the bus station himself. After arriving at the station, the staff member He did not leave, but waited beside us to accompany us as we waited for the bus. I saw that the rain had already wet his face. During the dinner later, I saw him helping to clear the tableware again. He worked very seriously and enthusiastically. We are very grateful to this staff member for helping us and letting us experience the feeling of being taken seriously. I wish this staff member all the best and good health in the future.

Overall, this is a recommended hotel. It's hard to hide how old it is, but it's well kept and the staff provide excellent service. I guess it's a remnant of the former high-class hotel. You only see Japanese staff, so it's different from business hotels in urban areas. You can get your impressions by looking at other reviews, but if I had to say one thing, it would be the parking lot and the dinner buffet. If you arrive late, you will be directed to the second and third parking lots further away. For dinner, there are less than 10 seats for four people with a view from the window, so if you are asked for a time, it is better to choose 5:30 pm. It's best to go early, get a window seat, and relax until nightfall.Even though it was simple, I was able to celebrate my family's birthday by lending them a set.The scenery is nice too✨

There is a free shuttle bus to and from Nagasaki Station. The pick-up location is between the Hilton Hotel and the west exit of Nagasaki Station. It is easy to find! The room has a good view but there is no internet. Only the lobby on the 3rd floor has internet available! The texture of the breakfast buffet is better than that of dinnerThe tatami in the Japanese-style room has been updated and is quite clean, but the bathroom floor tiles are super old and the bathroom pipes smell very bad. You have to flush them constantly to dilute the smell! This is the most flawless part!By the way, this time I used the direct-cut discount plan to stay at 16,800 yen/2 people. It’s so cheap and there’s nothing to complain about😅

The room is a bit old. The view of the open-air hot spring on the 11th floor is great. The food supply is diverse and delicious.

Even after I turned it off, the air conditioner mysteriously came on again and the noise was so loud that I had trouble sleeping. It cost me 500 yen to call to reserve the shuttle bus. You need a phone to use the service, so when you call, there's no one answering, and as a result, you're being charged for the whole time, and as a result, the charge for just one call is about 500 yen...In addition to the inconvenience of not being able to make reservations on the site these days, when you call, you can't book a room. I heard voice guidance coming from the site over and over...When men go out to see the night view, it is impossible for men to see the night view from the open-air bath. In the dinner buffet, once the items that seem to be expensive, such as amberjack, are gone, they won't be available again. Even if there was, the sashimi would be extremely small to begin with...Even if a seat with a night view was available, they wouldn't clean it up at all, and even if I asked if it was available, they'd refuse. When we arrived, we were suddenly told that we could only eat dinner after 7pm, and in fact, if we went a little before 7pm, we would be left empty...They probably didn't think about the fact that the guests had already made plans to see the night view. I wonder if the Oedo series is cheap or bad.

The view from the room and the night view from the rooftop open-air bath are both satisfying. The food at the restaurant is also delicious.
