I was going on a driving trip to Hakkoda in the autumn colors, so I went to Hotel Jogakura, which I had previously found while passing by. Given its nice appearance and high-end price, I looked up the reviews on Google and Rakuten Travel, and made a reservation thinking, ``This is definitely the place to go!''On that day, I got stuck in traffic at the roadside station and arrived much later than planned.···quiet. You run this hotel, right? It was so quiet that it made me feel uneasy. There was no welcome. I didn't know where to park, so I parked somewhere and went inside. The entrance has a nice structure, but is the man standing inside a customer? I thought he was just looking at me and not saying anything. Matching work clothes? You can tell that they are hotel staff because they are wearing them. The hotel itself is an old building, but it is in good condition and the stairs are decorated with beautiful paintings. As for the bath, the indoor bath is a little hot and comfortable. However, the open air was so warm that it felt like it was going to get cold rather than relaxing. The room we stayed in had a small sofa and table near the entrance, but it was so small that it was difficult to sit down. The bed is hard and comfortable to sleep in, and the room itself is spacious enough. The toilet seat was so cold that I cried out every time (lol). The toilet had a sheet to put on the toilet seat, so I tried to stick it on.I had high expectations as I had read reviews that the food was the most delicious I've ever had, but the serving time for dinner was inconsistent and I couldn't get into the flow of enjoying a delicious meal. Hoba-yaki was served grilled, but the meat was grilled using solid fuel, so it was only half-cooked. There are many types of alcohol, but wine is available in bottles, and wine by the glass is only labeled as red or white. I usually order a full bottle and enjoy my meal, but this time I decided against it.There are many types of sake and it was fun to choose. Not enough staff at your dining venue? It looked like everyone was working with "busy" written on their faces.Breakfast was a buffet. I had high hopes for this based on the website's statement, ``Enjoy a memorable breakfast that you'll want to eat again,'' but it was just average. I was told that the live kitchen was making dashimaki tamago, but the tamagoyaki was out of stock for a long time because there was equipment that I thought was used for frying. The miso soup was not tasty at all so I left it behind. As a general reviewThe cost performance is too bad for an inn that costs around 40,000 yen per person. I didn't feel at all glad I stayed. At this level of quality, I'm worried that it will disappear in a few more years. Why not take a look at other accommodations in the same price range?...Maybe it was my fault for expecting too much... Everyone has a lot of good reviews...Sorry for lowering the rating.

The rice is great. The tableware was good, the food was good, and the staff were nice. However, the bathhouse is not good. ① The changing room is like a steam bath. …

This was a very nice stay. It’s a bit old fashioned but i enjoyed it very much. The rooms are clean and spacious.Bathroom is a bit small but most of the time you will be in the onsen anyway. The onsen is beautiful! It was no problem to get in with tattoos.Only think I highly recommend having a car going there.

My family and I had a great stay at the Junior Suite, which has a private onsen bath! A lot of attention was paid to let you enjoy the open air from the comfort of your room. The Japanese course meal was so worth it! Shout out to the staff who helped us cut up our apples and allow us to enjoy it in our room.

A place I wouldn't have been able to reach without navigation. The relaxing atmosphere of an old hotel. There is no elevator, so you have to carry your suitcase all the way to the second floor. The interior is based on white walls and black-brown wood grain. There were cups, water, and a coffee server in the room, and the bath in the room was made of cypress wood. Dinner is also delicious. The hotel staff were also kind and pleasant, and I had a comfortable stay. Since it is located in the mountains, it would be wise to make a reservation for dinner. The open-air bath is said to be closed to the public from 7pm until 7am the next morning, as bears have been appearing recently.

I stayed in a maisonette room. It was raining all the time, but the view of the beech forest and the sound of the rain was soothing and relaxing. I had a relaxing and very comfortable stay in the upper room. The food is delicious and excellent, as expected. The work of the two veteran men in the hall was also wonderful. I had a lot of fun talking with them and it made my impression of the hotel much better. The food on the second day of our stay was also delicious. I would like to visit you again someday.

Both dinner and breakfast are the best at any hotel I've ever stayed at.The lineup of local sake is amazing. Local sake is popular because there is a good balance between the quantity and quality of the food. The staff at the restaurant was very knowledgeable about local sake, and the synergy was great. This is a hotel I would like to stay at again. In addition, I think it is enough to stop by the Sukayu Onsen that I went to the next morning.
