I visited around 9am on a weekday. As we descended the mountain path, we passed an open-air bath and felt the smell of sulfur as we continued on. Have the inn's hot spring all to yourself. On the way home, I enjoyed listening to the sound of the river in the upper bath (open-air bath). I'm actually grateful that cell phones don't work, and the bath surrounded by the sounds and scenery of nature is worth the hours it takes to take a bath. I'm sure it's a harsh environment in winter, but I'm sure it's difficult to maintain and manage the equipment as well. We look forward to staying with you next time.

These are my impressions from the drop-in bath. I visited the place while it was raining on and off. Please be careful as it is slippery. It was the kind of road that made me wonder if this was really the way to go. It was a simple inn. Is your son the one answering the call? I read that other people were unfriendly, but that was not the case. The bathroom doesn't have much special features. It must be nice to stay there. Open-air bathing along the river requires courage.

Highly recommend. I spent a lovely relaxing two nights here. Wish could have spent longer. The location is stunning - by the river, surrounded by beech woods, a short walk from the road. The hiking trail starting from next to the ryokan goes up through beautiful beech forest, splitting after a couple of km, with one trail going to Kurikoma San and one to 千年クロベ, an awe inspiring 1200 year old red pine. The hospitality was great and the evening meals were fantastic - lots of wild mountain vegetables and mushrooms - all deliciously & lovingly prepared.  The Onsen was lovely - straight from the source - if a bit hot for me to stay in for long. As well as the indoor bath, there are two rotenburo, one right next to the river.I really enjoyed that there is no mobile signal and no WiFi, limited electricity and light by oil lamps in the evening. It really helped me unwind and clear my mind.  By the time I left, walking slowly back through the woods, I had the biggest smile on my face I've had in a long time.I really hope I get the opportunity to return.

It's about a 10-minute walk up a mountain road, so it's dangerous on rainy days, so I don't recommend it. But hot water is the best. The open-air bath is also nice on sunny days. There is no shade in the bathtub, so it might be tough in midsummer. There is a signboard dog at the entrance that you can touch as much as you like. It's a must-see for dog lovers, but those who don't like it won't be able to stay at the inn. 500 yen for a day trip bath was an exceptionally low price. It was a hot spring that I would like to continue using.

Young people may be fine going up and down. It's a tough place and the roads are rough for the elderly and people with limited mobility, isn't it?Also, the man at the reception desk for a day trip to the hot springs was nice to deal with, but young people? I don't know if it's your son!?I asked because he had a bad attitude and was looking down at me because it was my first time in an open-air bath. The shower in the main building bath is very slow! The open-air bath is a difficult place to wash, so we recommend washing in the main building or washing at home or at another hot spring with a washing area before coming to the hot spring. ! The open-air bath is small, so you'll have to wait in line! If you're a woman, you'll have to prepare a swimsuit! Be careful, as there's a good chance you'll be seen by other customers! If you wear a swimsuit, you can safely enter! The scenery is amazing! The climb back is tough, so be prepared! Personally, I don't think there will be a next time because the climb back is tough even though I'm going to get tired (;´∀`)

Beyond Yuhama Pass, it's a place I usually pass by, but I decided to stop by to warm up my cold body~♨️On the way to the front desk, I looked at the many autumn leaves🍁 as I made my way there😅👍It's relaxing in a hot bath. I'll drop by again.
